LInk is misleading, not for mapping

I was very frustrated trying to get the M6 to link to my J7 vacuum. From what I read/understood was they would link and the mapping part would be done on the M6 so it wouldn't have to map again. I sent it out 4 times mopping at over an hour each and never got close to finishing. I do have a 3400 square foot home (not all hard surface), so it's a big job. I finally read where you could use the dry sweeping pad to map quicker. That was the key. This should actually be the first step when sending it out to map. Then you can do the rooms/labels/etc and finally go mop. It also isn't covering all ground like the J7 does, like in corners and such. It does dry quick with the fluid provided. I am impressed with that. I love the J7 but no really impressed with the M6. I would recommend but will let everyone know that it's a pain getting it going and be prepared for your cleaning jobs even in small areas to take over 30 minutes to do when the J7 does the same job in 2 minutes.

Frustrated

I waited a while before writing this review so that the depth of my frustration would not come out in the composing... I failed. I have had the Braava M6 for a bit over a year, now, and I have yet to have my entire place (ground floor only) mapped or properly mopped. Little did I know that the max height for its threshold was a few mm's /below/ standard build code on a new house because, even defining thresholds, it gets stuck. I have called CS numerous times and have been told a variety of things to try; all of which I did try, and still I can't get it to work properly unless I put it in a room with a door, and close it so that it only mops that area. That, though, kind of defeats the purpose of the whole unit. I can't even find a way to jimmy-rig some thing to get it to map the whole place. Recently, upon suggestion, I reset the whole thing and managed to download the map from my Roomba (which I LOVE) to the Braava since they're supposed to be compatible. Instead, and to my frustration, I have to stalk after the thing to move it out of rooms it was never asked to go in to. Bottom line? If you live in the kind of place where you have no, or minimal height, thresholds then this is for you. If not... it's useless and frustrating.

Battery does not last and is expensive to replace

It cleans well when it works. I have had it for a bit over a year and have had to replace the battery 4 times. My house is only 1560 SF so it is not a lot of space. I am very disappointed in this mop.

I had the Braava jet m series for almost 2 years now. I bought it as a combo with the Roomba vacuum cleaner. While the Roomba works great and it is my 2nd one in the past 7 years, I'm highly disappointed from the Braava jet. It requires high maintenance, the filter in the liquid dispenser constantly being clogged and in 70% of the times I remotely activate it via the app I have errors. I replaced a battery and everything, but still experiencing those issues. If you are looking for a vacuum+ mop combos there are cheaper solutions that will have the same type quality. I genuinely expected more from iRobot.

This thing works for about a week then it becomes glitchy. Will not complete a full clean. Constantly gets stuck on objects even after you go to great lengths to remove obstacles. It seems like it will go out of its way to find an obstacle. I've had to follow behind it at least 4 times now micro managing it which completely defeats the purpose of automation. It ONLY seems to function when doing a linked clean initiated by a vacuum bot but it still can run into a number of errors that terminate the clean. It can never find its way back to it's docking port without intervention. IRobot completely dropped the ball on this product. They need to figure out the difference between algorithms in bots like the j7 and this garbage and fix it because when you look up this trash on other website it's the exact same complaints when you get past all the fake paid reviews praising this 400 dollar toy. Do not buy until they upgraded it's software significantly. This thing performs so poorly I wouldn't be surprised if someone could sue iRobot and win.

When I first purchased this product I couldn't stop bragging about it to family, friends and strangers. Well the bragging has changed to complaining. My robot has docking issues. It cannot leave the base when programmed. I had a daily schedule, now I have a piece of junk. It also has leakage from the container and rust on the metal part of the base. I paid too much for this item to have so many issues with it. Don't waste your money.
