The Steiner Mps has deliverd a solid performance thus far. I switched from a Aimpoint ACRO to the Steiner MPS due to continuous electronic issues and a wider window for better sight picture. The Steiner’s build quality is equal to the Aimpoint and has clear optics. The only negative is Steiner’s battery life, but I’m willing to deal with that issue over the Aimpoint intermittently not working.

Excellent product

As a 30 year LEO and firearms instructor, I have tested and evaluated almost every quality red dot known to man. I know what to look for.
I received this item a few days ago and now have it mounted on a 45 degree offset for a small frame AR in 6.5 Grendel. I found everything about the optic to be top rate. Mounting is solid. The housing is rugged. The controls are very well located and are firm enough to prevent accidental adjustments. The batter compartment has a gasket and seals nicely. The design allows the optic to sit low in the mount, which is very nice for co-witness options.
In terms of glass/view I would say the Steiner is better than most and equal to the best (T2) glass I've used. The lenses are clear as a bell and offer a fantastic view with both eyes open. There is a very slight bluish tint, to my eyes; something most will never notice.
The brightness adjustment range is very useful for a variety of lighting situations. Most impressive of all, the red dot is somehow crisp, despite my astigmatism. I see it as a crisp perfect dot. With Aimpoint, Holosun, Trijicon, Eotech and others, I see a comet in the best conditions and struggle with finding precision (smallest dot). The Steiner dot is a perfect size for rifle work out to 300 yards and its small crisp roundness lends itself to precision. I had moved my personal rifles to prism sights to address astigmatism. This MPS gives me options. I'll report back after a few months on the rifle.

Crisp Dot

Durable housing and crisp dot. The controls are tactile and the glass is clear. Much preferred over an Acro. Only change i would request is to use a 2032 battery.

Best Closed emitter on the market

I carry the Steiner MPS on my duty gun every single day, and it has been absolutely solid. The enclosed emitter design gives me a ton of confidence in all conditions—rain, dust, sweat, and daily wear haven’t affected performance at all. The glass is clear, the dot is crisp, and the housing is built like a tank.
I like it so much that I own three of them. One is mounted on a shotgun using a Reptilia low-profile mount, and it’s been just as dependable there as it is on my handgun. Recoil, vibration, and hard use haven’t caused any issues.
The only reason I’m not giving this a full 5 stars is the battery cap. Once upgraded with the OPE Steiner MPS battery cap, the optic is perfect—but I really wish Steiner included that from the factory. At this price point, it should come standard.
Overall, this is a duty-grade optic I trust my life to, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a rugged, enclosed red dot for professional or defensive use.

Optic is built great. Mounted this on my Glock 17 and i’m very pleased with the glass quality, dot quality, and the overall fit and finish of the optic. This is an amazing optic for duty use or EDC.

Best dot, hands down.

I am currently running the MPS on my Staccato P & it is by far, the most crisp dot out of everything I own. I’m getting ready to put one on my sub gun, because it not only looks cool, but it’s functional & crisp. It also doesn’t feel like I’m looking down a hallway & allows for rapid follow up shots. My only complaint would be the battery life, but at least it’s top loading.
