I was part of a test group for my department. I went through 4 separate MPS optics and each one of them failed at around 2,000 rounds. On 3 of the 4, the failure point was the screw head that keeps the mounting clamp in place. The screw head would snap off and the optic would go flying. On 1 of the 4, the failure point was the internal electronics. It just stopped working. The optic was mounted on a Glock 17 MOS Gen 5 and the mounting plate was manufactured by Eleven71 (titanium). After 8,000 rounds and 4 failed optics, I cannot in good conscience recommend the MPS for duty use. I gave it a 2 star because I do like the window size and the overall construction of the body. I would say the MPS is adequate for recreational shooters. It is unfortunate that the company has not solved the mounting screw issue.

Worth the money

The glass is super clear. The top down emitter helps make dot accusation easier on my eyes when drawing and presenting my firearm. Will be purchasing again for other firearms.

A great micro red dot sight!

I did a lot of research prior to buying this micro red dot sight. I read many reviews, watched many video reviews, and read a lot of posts. I finally reluctantly pulled the trigger on the Steiner MPS…… and I am so glad that I did!
The sight was easy to mount and setup was a breeze. The buttons are very intuitive and the glass is crystal clear with no bluish hues. The red dot is sharp with no bloom except on the highest setting indoors. Of course you wouldn’t ever use it on that setting indoors, so it should be an issue. The design is well laid out and I have detected no issues with drift. It has held zero without issue while mounted to my M&P Competitor.
The only issue I have had so far is that it takes a little bit to get used to using a red dot vice using high viz irons sights. I habitually look for the the iron sights which puts me a little too low to find the dot. That said, more practice should remedy that problem. I am even thinking about buying another for my other pistols, my 10/22, and possibly my shotgun. I am very happy with the quality and overall construction. Another great product from Steiner!

Good optic

Good optic, not great. I'm not a huge fan of the auto-shutoff feature. I've also not had to change the battery so that my change down the road. I've had it for a few months now and it resides on a Flux Raider. It's been an excellent red dot, has kept zero even with an intentional drop. Mount held on nice and tight. Definitely worth the money.

Perfect pistol caliber carbine optic

Clear glass with minimal distortion to image. All controls are very tactile but require deliberate intention to press. Form factor is great as I have tried it on 2 rifles and will likely buy another for a pistol and competition shotgun in the future. Hopefully the battery life hold out but even I'd it dies during use the battery is extremely easy to change. Overall I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality red dot
