Steiner MPS, bigger window than Aimpoint Acro

All my firearms run some form or shape of RDS, most of them a open reflex sight. With the wide verity, from time to time I find a new favorite. The Steiner MPS has a super crisp dot, a super rugged housing and mounts easily. It has been a while where I could put a RDS on without any re-zeroing when changing from firearm to firearm. Last but not least, the Steiner MPS has a slightly bigger window vs the Aimpoint Acro; this is actually the biggie for me.

My new fav dot

Absolutely clear glass on this, with little to no parralax. The optic is actually way smaller than the pics make it seem. Its not currently an issue, but the crossbolt seems a bit small for what I'd expect. Time will tell if this holds up. That being said, i'll be buying a couple more for pistols/backup dots

Feels like a big window for a closed emitter red dot. Dot is crisp even with my stigmatism. Buttons have good tactile feel. Zero was almost spot on right out of the box, easy adjustments with great feel and sound. Top loading battery is perfect for future battery swaps without having to remove red dot and confirm zero! For the price definitely the best closed emitter red dot on the market. Great red dot option for any level of red dot shooter, new or experienced.

I now own 2 of these optics and I am plenty satisfied and currently recommend it for duty use and even conceal carry to a point.
Currently placed on a Sig AXG and X-compact (unexploded as I appendix carry, I like to live dangerously). Dot is in my opinion a great balance for pick up and precision as you would expect from a duty dot. I am biased and prefer 3 MOA dots to 6 no matter the platform.
Platforms have been tossed, pistols cycled by pulling the optic and even thrusting the optic on a table edge to cycle the pistol with no shift of zero or notable damage.
The optic is enclosed and has kept the dot clear of debris and water build up unlike open faced red dots which love to capture debris, especially while conceal carrying.
The optic is quite large, fondly called a mailbox which can lead to more printing in comparison to other optics on the same pistol but I also like wearing tight shirts as a stereotypical gym bro as you will.
Night vision performance is excellent with settings with a wide range to accommodate day, night and night vision shooting without difficulty.
I plan to have a future project where I use this optic for a LVPO rifle build and will update once that project is complete.
Side note: I prefer to have the optic always on, call me a fudd but I would rather have a always on and change the battery every 1-2 years instead of relying on a auto feature and I did not evaluate the auto off feature extensively.
In conclusion, buy this optic if you want to trust your life to a red dot.

Sits low, Window plenty big, no fish eye, crisp dot, robust, easy adjustable buttons for even the most sausagy of fingers, and is so hideous it's awesome! This thing works.

I put this on my HK USP Expert and it’s working fantastic. Holds good groups, clean glass, great dot size.

The sight is marvelous, I really want to use it. But the mount is horrid. I have mounted it to the supplied arco plat twice and twice the one screw that does the clamping has sheared under use. The first tome after maybe 20 range loads (10mm on a Tanfoglio Hunter) it sheared and clipped my forehead. Second time (today) it sheared after 21 rounds (same ammo, not hunting loads). First time shear left nothing to clamp to, to remove the remainder of the bolt, this time I was able to extract bolt and found the mounting clamp. I really wanted this to work for a hunting rig, but at this point I don't trust it.
