After shooting 3k rounds over a 2 day course, the optic held the zero- Not a single issue.

Better than expected

I use this optic on my duty pistol and it’s exceeded expectations. The dot is plenty bright for sunlight and battery life has not been an issue. I have not been able to see any issues with the refresh rate on the dot. Definitely comparable to the Acro at a much better price. Great for any duty gun setup. I would like to see a bigger battery on a Gen 2 but mostly just have uniformity between my other optics.

Although larger profile than preferred, a fantastic optic. Having ability to set profile for timers and optic brightness make it optimal for a patrol duty weapon. Additionally having the enclosed and durable housing with an easily accessible control housing are great. A fantastic feature is the accessible battery cover to make swapping batteries simple. After roughly 1000 rounds during initial use have noticed no issues.

Only room for improvement is the battery type and battery life

I mounted this red dot on a CZ shadow 2 compact and I couldn’t be happier. Easy mounting and no issues so far. About 300-400 rounds with it mounted.

Great Closed Emitter Optic option

Overall this is a great closed emitter. Very durable. My only critique is the battery cap and the key provided for it are not a great fit resulting in visible wear and resulting in the battery cap potentially getting stripped out.

Great enclosed emitter option

The Steiner mps has been running strong for me so far. It’s been through around 1500 rounds of 9mm. I’m glad they made the decision to make this optic compatible with the aimpoint Acro footprint. The plethora of different cuts is beginning to get absurd. I’ve been through 1 battery so far that lasted about 8 months, and changing it out is very easy since it’s mounted up top. There’s plenty of adjustment range to work in the blinding Florida sun, and under the moonlight all the same.
The adjustment buttons are on the smaller side compared to an rmr, but they work perfectly fine. I turned the auto off setting off originally to test the constant in battery life. It has been turned back on after a new battery and has been functioning well ever since. The night vision performance seemed better on the rmr over the mps however, the mps’s glass is so much clearer during the day that I would make that trade off every time. I will probably be buying a second one as a piggyback for a scope soon.

Great Optic

The MPS has a large viewing window which makes acquiring the dot easy. The emitter is a good quality and I do not get the same starburst effect as other optics. The optic will also fit into a Safariland SLS for duty use.
