Clear, durable, and easy maintenance. Only downside is it not being a multireticle/green option. Two major positives are it being enclosed and not having to remount for a battery change.

I was part of a test group for my department. I went through 4 separate MPS optics and each one of them failed at around 2,000 rounds. On 3 of the 4, the failure point was the screw head that keeps the mounting clamp in place. The screw head would snap off and the optic would go flying. On 1 of the 4, the failure point was the internal electronics. It just stopped working. The optic was mounted on a Glock 17 MOS Gen 5 and the mounting plate was manufactured by Eleven71 (titanium). After 8,000 rounds and 4 failed optics, I cannot in good conscience recommend the MPS for duty use. I gave it a 2 star because I do like the window size and the overall construction of the body. I would say the MPS is adequate for recreational shooters. It is unfortunate that the company has not solved the mounting screw issue.

If you like the Aimpoint you’ll love this. I run the RMR on my duty pistol and I’d much rather run the MPS.

Lots of Issues

I have tested more than 30 MPS units. Although the 7075 aluminum frame is durable, the optic is not reliable. Of those 30 optics nearly half of them failed. The failures included mounting fastening screw failures and electronic failures attributed soldering quality control issues. Having said that, of those that haven’t failed, I can say the glass is very clean and the dot is crisp.

Great Optic!

I love the glass and most of the features. I'm not happy with the battery life, but I just make it a habit to change batteries on a regular schedule. I have no problem recommending this optic.
