Good little Serger - useful for a number of tasks

Liking my Brother Serger so far. Yes, there is a bit of a learning curve, but there are a number of helpful videos on YouTube and, the instructions also pointed me in the right direction when it comes to threading... Finding that it is very useful on a number of items that I make quite often.

Broke easy, impossible to fix on my own

This is so beyond frustrating. Similar to another recent review, I have spent weeks trying to figure out why my right needle was slipping out. My needle broke in half and hit my hand as I was using the machine. I’ve bought two different parts, visited 2 different service centers and couldn’t find the part to replace the black piece that holds the needles. It’s impossible to find the right one and I got one that could work but now I can’t find the screw size to fit it. I can find parts for any other machine, why not this one?? Between my serger and my brother SE700 embroidery machine, I’m at my wits end with Brother. I used to be a very avid Brother enthusiast but I doubt I’ll buy another Brother machine.

It worked great until a pin came out of the needle plate. No replacement parts.

Excellent machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with the ease of set up and functionality of this sewing machine. I am an hobby sewer and I have been making both dog bandanas as well as trying some new projects with combined fabrics. I like that I can go from one project to the next with this machine and do not have any bunching issues. I would recommend this machine to others.

It has so many different options and all are so user friendly. This is not your grandmother's sewing machine. It does everything and it does it with ease. I'm so impressed by this machine and can't wait to try out many more projects. I recommend this sewing machine to anyone looking for an amazing machine that does everything!

Great serger

I got the Brother 1634DX 3/4 Thread Serger about a month ago and I love it. This is my first serger and it was so easy to learn. The stitches are even and tight. I like it because it isn't super loud. It is about as loud as my sewing machine. After watching a video online I can now thread it also. The Brother 1634DX 3/4 Thread Serger seems to be very well made and does exactly what it is suppose to do. I am really impressed with this serger.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best sewing machine

Brother 1634DX 3/4 Thread Serger and still trying to get the hang of it. But what I do totally live about it is the hem threading. Love that it has s the amazing ability to do so. Also love that it comes with extras like different feet needles spool caps and a cover. I know in another week or two I will
have it down. Love my new sewing machine
