My favorite thing about this serger is that it is a free arm machine. It is easy to set up for different stitches and the adjustments are quick easy. It has a thread catcher that is handy. I can use regular sewing machine needles.

Can't find replacement blades!!!!

First Serger

Overall great product. It is my first serger. Came prethreaded. However, when I started practicing, one of the threads kept breaking and I had to rethread it. I finally replaced it with the threads that I was going to use for sewing. It works great after that.

I starred at it daily for a month before I got up the nerve to give it a try. I was very surprised at how easy it is to use. I will really enjoy having this option in my sewing arsenal. My other machine will do an overcast stitch, but the serger is much faster and has a better end result. Being able to accomplish the seam and overcast in a single run is great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am truly impressed at the quality and effectiveness of this sewing machine. I have never been a good sewer but this machine is so easy use and really has made me look like a pro. I love how fast I am able to sew something with it being able to sew up to 1300 stitches per minute. I like how bright the Led light is which allows to me to see exactly what I am working on. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for an easy to use and fast sewing machine as you will not be disappointed but this one form a well known and trusted brand.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had brought this to replace my Brother 1034DX, I found this much easier to thread and use. Its a bit noisier and the perks are almost the same

Very happy with my serger

I am very happy with my Brother 1634dx Serger. It gives me the results I need and is especially great for working with stretch knits. I found great youtube videos on threading, cleaning, and general use that were very helpful. Once I used some of my scrap material to familiarize myself with its operation, I found it to be a great machine for my sewing needs.

Perfect stitches every time. Much easier to thread lower looper than my old machine. Sews over multiple layers easily.
