The MXTA25 provides a strong enough signal and reception and its low profile works well in the city and where low hanging obstructions occur off-road. I also use the MXTA26 6 db gain antenna for on-road and then off-road when I'm not concerned about obstructions on the trail.

Easy install and not very noticeable. Simply pick your preferred mount, add a cable, and screw the Antenna on. Haven’t had a chance to put it through it’s paces yet but even with having a Jeep and not having a good grounding plane, I can hear clear conversations 15 miles away. 15 miles of hills, buildings, and woods.
