The MXTA25 provides a strong enough signal and reception and its low profile works well in the city and where low hanging obstructions occur off-road. I also use the MXTA26 6 db gain antenna for on-road and then off-road when I'm not concerned about obstructions on the trail.

I bought this for the simple fact that the wire whip with my radio was too tall to fit in my garage. The ghost antenna cured that problem, boosted my Tx power & cleared up the static on long range coms. Midland doesn't disappoint!!!
