I purchased two of these antennas, one for my Polaris Ranger, and one for my Polaris RZR. The older whip antenna on my Ranger was all bent from going under low hanging branches while hunting, and needed to be removed to put a cover over the machine. The Ghost Antenna will solve these issues. The antenna will now be even with the plastic roof of the Ranger, but will still have the ground plane from the bracket I built to mount it on.
One the RZR, the aluminum roof is slanted at the right angle so the top of the antenna will be even with the highest point of the roof. This will make it less liable to be damaged, and still allow me to put a cover over my machine, without having to remove the antenna.
I'll be buying a third Ghost antenna for mounting with the clip on mount for my truck when traveling with friends so we can talk back and forth between our rigs. I move my MXT 275 radio from one of the offroad machines to the truck until we get to our destination.

I bought this on a wim and wasn't going to expect a lot from it. I bought it because I alreay have a dual band antenna on the roof for the FTM 400 and wanted something for the GMRS and didn't want my vehicle to look like a porcupine, so I bought it and am totally surprised at how well it did work. Worth getting.
