Subpar battery life

For some reason, my 40V battery, less than a year old, won't hold a charge. I get two, not four, red lights on the battery after leaving it in the charger for hours. Gives me about ten minutes of grass and weed trimming, then it quits. Very dissatisified with this product. Would expect better from B&D. T Mathisen, Montclair NJ>
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
