Don't Buy This Lemon (5 Years Review)

We got GE Washer for about 5 years. And It's ball bearing failed. The repair cost is not worth it. I would NOT recommend this at all.

This washer was in the house when we bought it. I have no idea how old it is, but it's rusty, leaky, moldy, NOISY, and makes the entire house shake. I would not spend the money on another one. It's failed to spin out all of the water in many of our loads, and is huge for its capacity.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, Thanks for your review. The GFWN1100LWW model was first introduced in April 2010 and had it's final production in June 2012, so your washer is between 9-11 years old. I have owned this washer for 4 years and it is full of mold on the front seal. It smells horrible inside and all my clothes smell like mold after I wash them. It is absolutely the worst purchase I have ever made. I emailed GE about it. Hopefully they respond to me.

Great Value Washer

This is our first front loader. I researched the purchase extensively before I bought it and I am glad I purchased it. The washer is quiet, efficient, and seems well constructed. The value is exceptional. I looked at many washers that were nearly twice the price. I specifically gave preference to an American made product. This washer was much less than the imports and as good, or better. The high speed spin can be a little noisy and shaky, but you can select a lower speed. The advantage to the high speed is that clothes come out nearly dry. This saves lots of energy and expense when it comes to drying them. I have had 2 previous GE washers that we sold with previous houses. They have been absolutely reliable, which is why I stuck with GE. You will not regret buying this washer.
