Keeps my love one safe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was interested in the product because my husband’s mom, I think it is a product that is valid if you have an older adult at home, the image is good it is easy to install, not the resistance with water, but I think it fulfills what it promises, the durability is quite good! I think that taking care of your loved one is very worthwhile!!

Scalable for your needs right up to the point of assisted living.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my grandparents were getting up in years, they wanted to maintain their independence and we used caregivers to make sure certain routine things were done.
We could afford about an hour a day and then a family member would check in with them every evening. We knew there had to be a better way. Now my mom is getting up in years but and is too proud to ask for help or tell us when things get difficult.

Nomo was able to provide us with a 24 hr security net they could use to contact us or emergency services.
We also liked that Nomo provided scalable services and multiple levels of monitoring to meet our needs.

There are many features in the app. tailored for the user, caregiver and medical professional. I learned of so many other things that I could monitor just by looking at the app.
Some sensors detect motion, others you can talk through. Using a combination of activities, triggers and notifications, you can get a general sense that your loved one is going through their normal routines. Depending on your setup, you can even keep track of medication times.
The best thing is that you can share this information with others you choose, including their doctors. I like spreading the responsibility between me and my sister. Now I don’t forget to share important information with her, the app can keep track of all the little things I may forget to share.
Note: To use the system, you need internet service and a basic Nomo plan that has a monthly fee. The small fee is worth it for the value they provide.

Good tool for behavior modifications and emergency situations !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very very basic system. It comes with a hub, four small touch sensors and two outlet sensors. The app is very user friendly and walks you through step by step without being over complicating. This system does not record video - only motion and provides alerts when the buttons are pressed. That being said, do not set any of the plugins low if you have pets because they will trigger false motion alerts. Another con is it requires a yearly subscription. I have set this up in the house as just an emergency system for whoever is home alone alone and should something happen and a phone isn’t nearby and I also have it set to help with weight loss goals, and also to assist with reminding and changing the routine of my daughters schedule of brushing her teeth and both of our schedules of taking medications. If a panic button is placed, it sends a text message to your phone number and also require you to make a selection on the app to escalate the alert to law enforcement or resolve. Overall, if anyone is overly concerned with video privacy, this is a great alternative. Personally, I believe it is a great tool for emergencies and creating better habits.

Easy to set up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was great. It's essentially like a baby monitor for adults. I used it to track my grandmother's activity and was not disappointed. It was easy to set up and I had no issues once it was set up. The monthly fee is a little high, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars.

Worth it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took my mom and I a minute to install the app & set up everything however once it was all connecting, we were amazed at how well the device works. This has been a big help since my sisters and I were concerned about my mom living alone since my father passed. This is cheaper than a live in nurse/helper. We are able to communicate without physically being there. It seems as if this addition will be useful and I’m grateful for Influenster and Nomo for making life a tad bit easier for my family!

Has Potential , basically a FALL PENDANT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the NOMO ESSENTIAL CARE KIT free from NOMO and Influenster for product trial and review. First, it is Important to note, this system does require an app download, monthly monitoring fees, and Wi-Fi. This system is the bare bones needed for basic monitoring, including a hub, two plug in satellites, and 4 sensors, one sensor has an orange cord and is intended to be used as a fall pendant. This system does not have any cameras which may be a privacy plus for some, but it is a huge negative for me. I want to be able to visualize certain things before making a mad dash over to my loved ones house for a minor scratch that may have been overblown and described as a finger being cut half off. We focus on daily vital signs and weight, to do this with NOMO addition compatible equipment must be purchased for monitoring blood pressure, respirations, oxygen saturations, heart rate, and body weight, these extra devices are available but pricey. Set up was easy using the enclosed quick set up guide. NOMO features multiple options for fall monitoring, motion detection, doctor messaging and 3 way communication.
I feel this system has potential as a fall monitor, but the motion monitoring provides limited useful data in a clinical setting. If the person you are monitoring does not live alone, the motion sensors will pick up everyone’s motion and data becomes even less useful. By placing sensors strategically around the house I was able to monitor how many times the monitored person opens the refrigerator but this doesn’t give me any accurate idea of their nutritional status as it doesn’t necessarily mean they took anything out to eat. I can monitor if they opened the medicine cabinet but it doesn’t tell me if they actually took their meds or took them correctly. The motion sensor lets me know only if the person is up and moving about, that is about it.
The fall pendant is very practical and useful if the person being monitored will consistently wear it. The bright orange cord on the fall pendant is long and not adjustable, it clearly looks like a medical device. The sensors are about the size of a poker chip, each have an emergency button to push for emergency assistance. The pendant hits at my pant waistline when around neck, it can also be carried in a pocket.
Overall, this NOMO system has potential depending on your needs and what you wish to monitor. We found this system duplicated services we already had and our loved one refused to wear the fall pendant. I would recommend NOMO for the fall pendant usage or perhaps the motion monitoring for those living alone.

Eases Your Mind

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nomo is a great way to care for someone who is elderly or needs consistent observation. We used it to ease our minds with our elderly mother. We are able to track movement in the home. See that she is leaving her apartment to go down and eat. We had one detected fall alert that turned out to be a false alarm. We think that the necklace came off with her clothing causing the alarm. I would love to see a smaller wearable tracker and a wristband option, so this doesn't happen. We have also run into a lot of trouble with sharing the information. with family members with Android devices, support is working on the app and continue to check in with updates. All in all, we think this is a great alternative to other similar devices.
