Y’all broke something that was simple and great

I’ve been carrying a sog multitool forever. Well maybe not forever but I bought it at a Marine Px on Camp Pendleton in 2006. I still have it and it still works great. I just wanted to upgrade it to something newer and leave the old one at home. Your new model will be the one that will be left at home. Y’all put to much stuff in that thing and the tools are tiny. Brilliance in the basic is what y’all need to go back to not compete with these other companies creating these inspector gadget multi tools.

Great idea with two major mistakes

I owned a PowerAssist for years until it was stolen. I bought this this for the center driver feature. The driver works great. However, the blades are extremely flimsy (half the thickness, as an estimate) as compared to the PowerAssist, and the PowerAssist blades are incompatible. The reduced weight of the blades throws off the balance (especially the one-hand open/close) and I cannot upgrade with the AWG wire stripper.
I understand that I should have looked into this before purchasing, but it never occurred to me that anybody would make such a design decision.

I use this for work and didn't think I needed the bits. The first day I started carrying it we were at our friend's house feeding their animals and their doorknob fell off. I looked for a screwdriver and couldn't find one, then i realized....I had everything I needed in my new multi-tool!! I agree the sheath is pretty weak but fortunately I have several friends who do leatherwork and made me on to carry the tool and the bits!

Jon, my stepson, just started a new job working on highly complex aerospace machinery. Knowing of my affinity for SOG multi-tools, he asked me what to get. This one, the PowerAccess Deluxe, was what I bought him, especially for the needle nosed pliers and for working on electrical wires. After a month, he is so very happy and is now an SOG convert. The two of us both use these SOG muli-tools on a daily basis (I use the Power Lock Satin for the scissors) and each are very happy with our current choices.

Smooth well made. Only complaint is the lock is a bit wonky and easily overrode by accessing a different tool. Wish the addon to the pouch was more of a pouch than a sleeve. I worry about the bits falling through.
