I chose this over dewalt because I entered the metabo line with their battery operated nailers and have been happy with their products

Extremely Versatile Tool

This is is the perfect tool for woodworking and paint prep. When paired with the 36V Multi-Volt batteries its lasts for hours of constant use for me. Its extremely handy if you are making precise cuts and need to remove a tiny bit of material. Really easy to remove and replace the sand paper. Clever design to have it stand upright on top of the battery like a stationary belt sander.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great tool & long lasting battery life. The sander has a variable speed setting & an automatic setting that adjusts depending on your pressure. No complaints.
What I like most is the battery life with a 4.0 multi-volt. The thing last forever.

Great belt tender, which gets the job done. Sometimes it gets a bit warm, but that seems to be the case with all Belt sanders. Glad To have it in my toolbox

Excellent cordless belt sander

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this sander a few months ago and have been very happy. I already had a few 36V batteries, and I was expecting it to be a power hog. I was pleasantly surprised that the 8ah batteries lasted long enough to go over a 3'x8' surface several times and still have over 50% charge.
I also like the automatic speed setting where it will adjust based on the resistance felt. It requires a learning curve to avoid creating indents in your work surface but as does running it in high speed on general.
Very pleased with the 36V sander and looking forward to my next project with it.

Battery or Corded in 1 package

I bought this about a month ago to replace an older competitor's belt sander that tracking tended to wonder a bit. This works great not only does the tracking stay true I now have the option to use a battery for small jobs without the need to have power available while still having the option to work on bigger jobs without running out of juice thanks to the corded adapter!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the belt sander because it was at a great price but have ended up using it quite a bit the past month. The speed adapter took a little getting used to but it's a great belt sander. A little bulky but all in all a superb tool value
