The material and the construction of the cover are outstanding. Of course, as expected it fits well over my 36 inch griddle, and it repels any moisture that finds it way onto the cover. The griddle is not completely exposed to the elements as it is kept under an awning on the patio. So while rain can get onto it, the amount is not significant and does not penetrate through the canvas or underlying plastic. The gussets on the corners is a nice touch and adds strength to the construction of the cover.

We had a good rain this week and when I went to use my grill there was a lot of water on my grill.
It might protect from easy rain but not from hard rain. Very disappointed.

We highly recommend tenting the cover up off of the griddle top. With the heavy duty polyester and the vinyl backing, the rain will run right off. The cover is not waterproof intentionally to allow air flow so there will not be condensation in humid areas. We apologize that you are frustrated but promise tenting will make all the difference.
