Brittle, lasted one season, no longer usable

Lasted one winter. Lots of holes now, remainder is too brittle to use for a second season. Going to just use a disposable blue tarp for winters going forward.

I've had this cover and entering my third season. At the end last season I pulled the cover off to use the grill and it ripped. The cover had become brittle, faded and started to tear up. I don't want to be investing in covers every two years! That drives the overall cost of my grill up. That means with the grill deteriorating just because of normal wear and tear, I'm still investing money in it. That is an unworkable situation. That cover should last for the life of the grill. Although it looks like the company has changed the material that the cover is made from?
