This cover is perfect. I knew that my smoker would sit out most of the time, so I wanted something that was good quality. It fits perfectly, and has velcro straps to keep it on. It has already been rained on very heavily, twice, and there has never been a trace of moisture in the barrel. It's still new, so we'll see how it holds up to a southern summer, but even if I have to get one every couple years, it's worth the price.

This is a great cover. Not only is it heavy duty but it's a perfect fit. We've had a lot of strong wind here lately. All our lawn furniture covers blew off but the smoker cover stayed in place through the strongest gusts. I'm happy with my purchase.

I love the cover for the Highland smoker! It fits perfectly and is of good quality. I received just before a heavy rain and put it over my smoker right away. The rain beaded off the cover nicely and my smoker stayed dry and protected. It's super easy to put on and take off and it has Velcro straps on each end so you can make sure it fits tight and won't fly off in the wind or anything. Ordering, shipping and receiving all went without a single issue and I actually received 3 days early, which was very good because of the impending storm.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Still no true hook and loop system
on April 14, 2024

I completed a review ~1 year ago and suggested a hook and loop system to attach the cover to the smoker as the Velcro straps created too much of a snug fit and 25+ mph winds blew it up like a balloon. Well, the winds finally took my old cover out of commission. I bought a new one three days ago and was delighted to see, on the box, that it had a hook and loop system to create a custom fit. Well, that is not so. It still only has the two Velcro straps on the end. So, I ended up punching four 4mm brass grommets to the bottom of the cover and now I can hook the cover to the grated shelf at the bottom. I also punched six 10mm grommets in the back of the cover to allow air to flow out from under the cover due to 35+ mph wind gusts taking the cover right off, held on by the smokestack/chimney. Very similar concept in which a brand of patio furniture covers have a flap that allows air/wind to escape. Also, the cover is too wide for the Highland as there is approximately six to seven inches beyond the firebox and is impossible to keep the cover in place.
