Did a revearse sear tri tip for one of my first cooks on this smoker. I felt like I nailed it. It took a little work controlling the temp, The end result was a perfectly cooked tritip tender and juicy.

Great cover but could use an upgrade

I purchased this cover a little over two years ago. Still holding up, but that's because I do not leave it in an uncovered area all the time. For two years I kept it covered and under the upstairs deck. Anything left completely exposed to the elements will fail more quickly. Though the cover(s) do need an upgrade. The velcro works great and keeping a snug fit, actually too snug. We had 25+ mph winds and the cover blew up like a hot air balloon and the smoker started to travel off the porch. I would recommend replacing the velcro strips with some kind of hook and loop system so that the cover is not too snug and allow for more wind to flow through rather than getting trapped underneath.

Owned this cover for about 2.5 years. It is still holding up great throughout the north Texas winters and summers. My smoker sits on the south facing patio under a short eve, so it still gets rained and snowed on. I have no complaints and my smoker still looks great.

I bought this cover in October 2023, and in December 2023 during a winter storm, the hook and loop straps on the firebox end of the smoker came unstitched by the wind, and now it will not stay on the smoker.
