I thoroughly enjoy flashlights. In a place that is dark a lot on the winter, I depend on a good light. After throughly reading the simple instructions I found out everything I needed to know about this light. Only one problem. The instructions did not include that to go from each beam selection you only push lightly. Pushing in all the way causes it to lock in that choice then you must push in firmly twice to advance to the next beam choice. It would be good to include that. Also I would enjoy this light more if it was entirely made in the USA.
i bought this light and dropped it the led came loose, i was mad cause i really liked this flashlight it worked great, i contacted the warranty department, they told me they would replace. all i had to do was go to the website and upload a picture , . i did this and within a week i had a new no questioned asked replacement . you have a lifer after this. thanks for the great service

I like the material , brightness, and how Ali can charge other things with it . My issue is the port to charge comes off the battery y if this happens , unless you can micro soder it becomes useless
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the great review. I did however want to mention that the battery for the XP9R (ZX850) is not designed to charge devices and we do not recommend doing this. Using the charge port to charge external devices could damage the battery.
This light is getting to be pretty close to perfect. The High output at 1000 lumens is enough for almost anything. The low output at 67 lumens is great for conserving battery and won't fry your night vision. The medium output of 350 is about right for most stuff. The ZX850 battery, a standard configuration protected 18650 cell, is the right choice in this design What more could a person ask for? How about a long range focus like the HP7R? That'd make this one perfect! Also, a big brother...Long range focus, ZX955 battery powered unit? PLEASE? Same light output as this maybe with turbo? You know, like turn the XPH34R into a long range focus hand held?
