I was borrowing my brother's older model Coast flashlight to check out the grounds outside our house at night for coyotes and armadillos, but it is long and somewhat heavy. I liked the quality of my brother's flashlight, so decided to go for another Coast model. The XP9R is easier for me to carry and hold, is very bright for a longer distance, and rechargeable, so it suits my purposes.

I like the material , brightness, and how Ali can charge other things with it . My issue is the port to charge comes off the battery y if this happens , unless you can micro soder it becomes useless

Thanks for the great review. I did however want to mention that the battery for the XP9R (ZX850) is not designed to charge devices and we do not recommend doing this. Using the charge port to charge external devices could damage the battery.

i bought this light and dropped it the led came loose, i was mad cause i really liked this flashlight it worked great, i contacted the warranty department, they told me they would replace. all i had to do was go to the website and upload a picture , . i did this and within a week i had a new no questioned asked replacement . you have a lifer after this. thanks for the great service

Solid flashlight

I thoroughly enjoy flashlights. In a place that is dark a lot on the winter, I depend on a good light. After throughly reading the simple instructions I found out everything I needed to know about this light. Only one problem. The instructions did not include that to go from each beam selection you only push lightly. Pushing in all the way causes it to lock in that choice then you must push in firmly twice to advance to the next beam choice. It would be good to include that.
Also I would enjoy this light more if it was entirely made in the USA.
