Big Improvement

I had the Icon X 2018 and absolutely hated them. They didn't stay in my ear and constantly made noises and paused my music because of it. However, the galaxy buds are perfect. You can do anything with these in your ears and they will stay in. I got these buds for free with the galaxy s10+, but if I lost these I would easily buy another pair. They are well worth their price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As the saying goes, "good things come in small packages", this certainly holds true for the Samsung Buds. These sleek and compact in-ear earbuds are great for music and phone calls in any situation. The convenient carrying and charging case ensures that the buds are charged and protected while not in use. A great feature of the case is that it can be wirelessly charged using a Samsung wireless charging pad. Charging is quite fast and the battery life lasts a long time. The option to connect via USB-C is available as well.
Connecting to a Samsung phone such as a Galaxy Note9 was very easy. The buds were detected and setup was completed in the Galaxy Wearable app and the buds are configured from within. Once the buds are paired, when the case is opened this automatically establishes a connection to the phone. The battery life indicator shows battery level for both the left and right buds as well as options for configuring the number of taps for various functions. The Equalizer has five modes (Bass boost, Soft, Dynamic, Clear, and Treble boost). There was some noticeable difference between these but nothing that was groundbreaking. A nice feature of the Galaxy Wear app is "Find My Earbuds". When initiated, each bud makes an audible noise that sounds like birds chirping but makes it relatively easy to find them if they're misplaced.
For the small form factor, these produce clear highs and some deep lows. The bass isn't deep enough to rattle any windows but it's good for the size. The active noise cancelling (ANC) does an OK job of blocking out background noise as long as the volume is turned up to about 60%. This was in an office setting where conversations at normal talking levels are occurring.
All in all, these are very well designed wireless earbuds which produce fantastic sound for all occasions. This fits well with the Samsung brand and is a home run in a small package.

Best pair of ear of buds

These are so great. I find myself using them almost all the time. I dont use ear buds very often but these are the exception. The voice calls are great too. I was suprise on how good it was. The only thing I have to say is the volume at high is too low for me . But it is fine.

keeps loosing connection

after going through a HUGE ordeal with samsung for this pre order promo, it took 3 months for me to get these =-1 star. since getting them I have had some issues. right ear bud keeps disconnecting and is useless at times, sometimes it works =-1 star. call quality, sometimes people can hear me clear as day, sometimes people say they dont understand an entire conversation. noise cancellation is bad can never talk with windows down =-1 star. cool buds when they work and good for watching videos and music, If the right one decides to work

What happened to the audio level

I got these as a warranty replacement to my Icon X 2018s. I dont know what Samsung did but I have to turn the volume all the way up just to be where the Icon X was at half volume. It's not my phone settings either. All my other headphones work very well with my S9

The sound quality when listening to music is superb but when talking on the phone, the person on the other end has a difficult time understanding. Why can I not end a phone conversation with a press of the ear bud button? To end a conversation I need to wake the phone and enter my pass code, navigate back to the pone and end it that way, a huge problem when driving. Don't get me started on the need to "wake" the phone, why do Samsung phones consistently black out when on a phone call?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! I am so surprised with these headphones. I mainly bought these to do yard work and was unsure if they would stay in my ears. I was so surprised when i could do literally anything with these in my ears and they wouldn't fall out. Downside, they can been a little uncomfortable after a while but I also haven't tried to use any of the different ear pieces that came in the box. The sound quality is pretty good, if you are looking for a headphone with a lot of low end bass, these are not your headphones. They have a nice dynamic sound but I wish they had a little more bass to them. I also don't understand or used the ambient sound feature it made everything just sound like static. I really hope Samsung starts including them in the box of their latest phones and dare I say get rid of the headphone jack
