Compared to the Gear IconX, the Galaxy Buds are smaller and the carrying case is also smaller.
I paired this to my Galaxy S9+ (since I have no need to upgrade right now, waiting until the S11+) but it works flawlessly, once you open the case a UI pops up and you have
the ability to connect the Buds through the 'Gear Wearables' app. From full charge, you can use the Buds for 6 - 7 hours, then you can use the case and that will give
you 7 hours of extra charge on the go, so you can play music/podcasts or take calls for more than half of a day. So if you want them to be used all day but don't have
a S10 to wirelessly recharge the case, buy a external Battery Pack (mostly used to charge your phone but now it can be used to charge your Buds) with an extra
USB-C cable (if you don't already have one or you can use your phone USB-C cable).

If possible, Samsung should make a new case, sold separately of course and optional where the case can provide more than 7 hours of extra battery life. Maybe 14 hours of battery life? I don't mind lugging a bigger case around.

Buds are IPX2 water resistance. Not swim-proof (facepalm to all the reviewers soaking them)

Flaw:
When it comes to the 'Black' version of the Buds. I personally think Samsung should have put an LED light on the 'L' and 'R' lettering of the Buds so at night these
letters can glow so if you mix them up, the glow will give you insight of which Bud is which to put them back into the case or put them in your ear properly.

Best Buds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's fair to say that the most satisfying thing about a new pair of wireless earbuds shouldn't be the process of charging the battery. However, for Galaxy Buds owners who also own one of the variants of Galaxy S10, that may well be the case. I’m not talking about plugging in the USB-C cable, rather the moment you find yourself short of juice, take your S10+, flip it over, place the Galaxy Buds case on to the rear of the phone, and watch the Buds’ charging light ping to life. Now *that* is a feeling of deep satisfaction. It’s important to note, wirelessly charging your Galaxy Buds from your phone isn’t just a party trick, nor is it incredibly useful in a pinch, but it’s also an indication that Samsung is thinking of its product line as an entire ecosystem, rather than siloed products. This may seem like an unusual place to begin a review, but it feels like Samsung’s wireless earbud line have finally achieved truly wireless status, which is an important landmark. As an owner of both previous generations of their earbuds, the Galaxy Buds feel like everything learnt with the previous generations has been applied. Bluetooth connectivity, a little sketchy on previous models, has been improved to the point that in 3 weeks I’ve experienced no issues whatsoever. Other more subtle improvements have been made, such as a more compact pocket-friendly case, and its ‘push-button open’ mechanism (which failed after three weeks on a previous model) has been replaced with a simple foolproof prise-open design. Where they have learnt from issues of earbuds past, they’ve also understood and retained the strengths of previous generations, such as the touch-sensitive shell that allows you to control your music without having to rummage around for your phone. The design, too, is subtle. While a certain Cupertino-based competitor has a design that is ugly but unmistakably ‘them’, Samsung is content to make the Galaxy Buds almost invisible, which for me, is exactly what I’m looking for. Finally, and most importantly, when it comes to audio quality the clarity and depth of tone and bass is fantastic, and again, a further improvement over the already stellar experiences of previous generations. The only drawback is related to the microphone, which falls short of the high bar set by every other aspect of these buds – feedback I’ve had is the mic quality is ‘fine’, but when every other aspect of the Buds is ‘great’, it leaves something for Samsung to improve for the Galaxy Buds 2.

Perfect Headphones for Someone with Small Ears!

I just got the headphones a few days ago and they have exceeded all my expectations. As someone who has had trouble with many in ear headphones, this product has worked flawlessly since receiving them.

Samsung Galaxy Ear Buds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The galaxy buds are very easy to connect using the Samsung wear app. The settings are easy to use and understand. The battery life is excellent they often last me more then one day with medium usage. I'm not an audiophile but the sounds quality is great for me. They work together great and individually which is a nice feature. I have worn them and they have never had them fall out of my ears even during rigorous physical activity.

They are compact and fit great but the IPx2 Rating is disappointing the touch controls were better on the IconX but everything else is amazing

Excellent Earbuds

I've had several types of headphones in the last few years and paid a lot of money for most of them. These are by far the best! The sound quality is great and the best part is that they fit my tiny ear canal.

Samsung nailed it with these headphones. Fully charged the individual headphones last about 6 hours, pop them back into their carrier/charger until I notice the green lights and I got another 6 hours of music in my ears. I uploaded 100 songs to them so far and still have space to put maybe another 100 songs or more which is great. Syncs perfectly with my Note 8 and/or my Gear Watch so I can track my walks and carry a conversation on my phone whenever/wherever I am. The only time I'll use wired headphones again is... never again. Again, Samsung nailed it with these beauties.

Amazing True Wireless Earbuds!!!

I have been waiting on these since they first announced them! After receiving them I used them in the gym and they are amazingly great!! Sound quality is awesome as well as the earbuds themselves. They do not fall out of your ear while jogging or lifting weights. Best earbuds I have ever owned.
