My previous had the 7" screen, so the bigger screen is nice, but the software is buggy, losing the trainer volume and latency issues when using the touchscreen resistance or physical buttons on the arms. Maybe because I've started training more than I was with the last one, but seems a little less stable as well, though it doesn't feel like it will tip. Not sure why they didn't make the screen rotate.

I want to love it, but….

I ordered this new X16 to replace a Nordictrack Elliptical I’ve had for almost 20 years. It’s definitely quieter and pretty smooth until you try to switch between step, glide and run. One has to almost stop moving to switch functions which defeats the purpose of the workout. Also, at increased resistance and incline the steps will not move which is annoying when you are working out with a trainer and they increase the incline/resistance but yet the machine won’t move - this defeats the purpose of the workout! Also, why in the world would Nordictrack not put a stationary bar on this machine to allow one to step onto it? I’m 5’6” and the steps are fairly high on the machine. Not only are the steps high they also move when you get on the machine and without a stationary bar to hold onto this becomes a safety issue. So I wanted to love this machine to replace one that was almost 20 years old however I will most likely be sending it back.

Great Machine!

I've tried a lot of elliptical machines in my life, so I wasn't expecting much difference when I tried the Nordic Track X16 elliptical, but I was very pleasantly surprised! One of my favorite features on this machine is that each foot pedal is free-moving, meaning you can adjust your stride! It's great for shorter people like me, but it also gives me the flexibility to adjust my workout level just based on how long I step. I like that you can adjust the incline and resistance on the hand bars so they are in easy reach. However, even on the lowest setting, it provides a great workout! This is a great workout machine addition for any home gym!

Game Changing Space Saver

Honestly, I was skeptical that I would enjoy the elliptical. We already have a treadmill and a bike and I use those enough to enjoy my workout. As I get older, a busy dad of 3 kids, I was told an elliptical is very low stress on the joints but still delivers a solid workout. All of these are true, but what I didn't expect was the space it took up. It was much less than I realized, fitting into an already tight space that I have. While this is the newest part of my home gym, I expect it to become one of the most used. While this is an incentivized review, it is my honest opinion.

Great Machine for Busy Mom!

With 3 kids under 8 years old, working out has been taking a back seat to my kids and their busy schedule. What is more, I don't like the treadmill much anymore. The Elliptical has always been my favorite machine, but this elliptical is so much more than I could have expected. When my husband set it up and told me it was a stair stepper as well, I was surprised and somewhat confused. I wouldn't understand how it would work, once you try it the first time, it makes perfect sense. This review is an incentivized one, but I can finally find time to workout quickly on a great new elliptical.

Fantastic Machine!

This elliptical is awesome! The set up was super easy. The instructions had pictures and videos that were easy to pull up to help with any questions we had. The elliptical is heavy, but two of us were able to move it down our stairs and set up. The machine works great. I was so impressed with how smooth the movement was - especially how easy it was to transition between long strides and shorter steps. One of my favorite things is the controls for resistance and incline are located on the screen and also on the handles, which makes it nice to not have to let go while trying to change the intensity of your workout. I also love the large screen. It is adjustable which makes the touch screen and work out information easy to access. Fantastic machine! This is an incentivized review.

We love our elliptical!

Setup was a lot easier than expected. When it arrived I was a bit skeptical that it would fit in the area that we had allocated, but it fit just fine. The machine is large and once it’s assembled you will be elevated off the ground. If you’re worried about hitting your head we have standard 8’ ceilings in our basement and we are able to operate just fine. As far as the workouts go? You literally glide through them and are sweating in no time at all. Great machine-would recommend to anyone looking to add to their home gym. This is an incentivized review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This elliptical is a high quality piece of equipment with great features and a fun to follow pre-workout program from IFit. The touch screen is user friendly and while the track takes some getting used to, once you spend some time working out it becomes comfortable to use. It was a great break from the treadmill. You need this as part of your home gym.
