I am enjoying the new X16. However, it is nothing like a normal elliptical. You can find a rhythm but it is difficult to to keep it. It is sort of neat that you can change your stride to different types of steps but it is also difficult to keep a particular stride. I also find it hard to get any speed on this machine. striding it is hard to go over about 45 rpm and stair stepping I can get to maybe 55. My old elliptical I could go to 75-80 rpm.
I find that IFIT is okay, but listening to the 'coaching' is boring. they just seem to ramble on about things that are not interesting. Also, on IFIT, the target RPM is dumb. . Sometimes the target is 13 and often it is only 20 at most. I can't even walk that slow.
I can get a good workout on the machine, but it is unlike anything I have ever been on.

Great Machine

I like the functionality of this elliptical. You can vary your stride to work the different leg muscles. My calves and thighs were sore after the first time using it and I was already a regular user of another elliptical and a stationary bike.

We’ve had the elliptical for 2 years now and is used 5/7 days by several of us. The workouts through iFit are great! WiFi works well, screen gives a high quality video. Most importantly is that we’ve had no service issues which is impressive for how much we use it.

It has been great but the lack of elliptical fitness programs continues to be an issue. It is nice to see the world but sometimes I want a solid hard elliptical workout. I don't get that from the advanced programs I use now. ⁹

X16 Elliptical

I just upgraded to the new x16 elliptical from the FS7. It is the same size and function as the older model but with new features that greatly improve the experience using the machine. The bigger screen is fantastic! The incline and resistance controls on the handles are also a big improvement. My wife and I both use the machine daily and are very happy with our new machine.
