The extendable handle is sturdy, but it takes up a lot of space inside the suitcase. The wheels glide easily on floors and I like that they can be replaced if broken, but on uneven surfaces I have to put the case on its side to prevent it from rolling away. I would suggest maybe adding brakes on at least two of the wheels. The term "expandable" is somewhat misleading. There is a zipper that allows the bottom to expand a bit, but not much. Perhaps some people pack more formal clothes, but I will probably never use the included garment bag-it takes up too much precious space. The zippers seem heavy duty and will hopefully last a long time. The two zippered pockets on the top/lid are too small to be very useful. I was able to fit a small paperback book in the larger pocket. The zippered bags inside that clip together to hold things in place are good in theory, but they can't be removed. On a recent trip they were mostly in the way. The nylon fabric exterior seems durable. I got the blue one with brown/tan trim. It looks nice and is more easily identifiable on the luggage carousel. For the price, I'm a bit disappointed.

I just took delivery f my new Travelpro Platinum Elite 21” Expandable and I'm very impressed. I compares to my previous Tumi bag in terms of features and construction, and it's is much lighter than Briggs & Riley. It's less than half the price than both of these brands so it's an incredible value.

Wheels and zips seem solid - construction is very good. Outside pockets could be a bit deeper - would like to be able to slip a magazine or a file folder into the front pocket. Interior is either fantastic or okay depending on your needs - there are so many features inside. Wish those pockets, etc inside were removable - occasionally I just want a big open box. I want a cross b/t this an my Away and then that would be the perfect carry-on.

Love my new suitcase!

I spent several months researching bags for my luggage upgrade before I decided on the Travelpro Platinum. I took this bag on a maiden voyage to San Francisco. I love, love, love it so far! It rolled like a dream, even on the way home when it was stuffed with swag. Up and down escalators, over uneven sidewalks, on and off trains. The handle felt sturdy and I didn't notice any excessive wiggle. The pockets are conveniently laid out. I was able to fit everything for 5 days and then some. It survived two gate checks on the flights, still looking good as new. I highly recommend including this bag in your luggage arsenal.

I already own several Travelpro bags, but I was looking for a carry-on 4-wheeler and couldn't be more happy with my purchase. I deliberately waited until after I had used the product on a trip to write this review. The product has excellent inside organizational capabilities, is easy to glide through the airport with, and provides good value for the price.

Too small and no way to get in touch with Travelpro! Their voice mail message says they don’t take phone calls anymore and their website says it takes weeks to receive a response to a customer inquiry! List my business
