MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT - DO NOT BUY!

I just purchased this dishwasher and unfortunately it has a major manufacturer's defect, as it is missing the vent on the inside of the front door on the stainless steel model. Since there is no venting, the entire dishwasher and the dishes remain soaked even days after running it in heated dry and/or air dry mode.
It appears that the white and black color options of this model aren't defective, as they have the vents that they should. See the attached photos.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Please know that this is not a defect. The dishwasher was designed this way for greater efficiency in a basic model. The water that evaporates during the dry cycle will collect on the walls of the tub and, as it cools, will slide down and drain out the bottom. This is part of normal operations for this model. If you are finding that your dishes remain wet, please ensure your rinse aid is full and dishes are being removed at the end of the dry cycle. Plastic items, which do not conduct heat well, may need to be hand-dried. The following video should illustrate these helpful tips: https://youtu.be/BsvwBkwRVUY.
