I have been in the market for a desktop hard drive for some time, after my other one stopped working and I lost all the content on it. After hearing and reading rave reviews about the Western Digital brand, I decided to go with their WD 4TB Elements Desktop Hard Drive - WDBWLG0040HBK-NESN. I really didn't need 4TB of space, but for the price, it was well worth. I loved how it was an easy plug and play ready for Windows PCs, as I wasn't ready to give up hours of my time to read through instructions or follow lengthy step by step instructions to get the WD 4TB Elements Desktop Hard Drive - WDBWLG0040HBK-NESN up and running.
I couldn't believe just how fast the data transfers were. Now I can free up a bunch of space on my computer with the use of the WD 4TB Elements Desktop Hard Drive - WDBWLG0040HBK-NESN and it makes my computer run much faster. And, I don't have to worry about losing important files and documents as they are backed up and stored in no time with this high-capacity storage unit from Western Digital. If you have been looking for a desktop hard drive, I highly recommend the WD 4TB Elements Desktop Hard Drive. This is also a must for gamers who use XBox and PS4 and need extra storage.

Works Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, so good. We're using this for extra storage for a gaming computer in my sons room. He's downloaded plenty of video games, music and videos and needed the extra storage space and with this unit, he's getting exactly what he needs.
With moving so many files over onto this unit, it has freed up allot of space on his computer therefore allowing a much smoother experience.
Nice, sleek design to the unit itself and sits right next to his computer.

do not show up on windows

got problem with the hdd do not show up in any windows pc, i try a different wired and also get a new power supply and nothing i try to update the driver and nothing i try everything you can imaging but still dont show up, i want it back cause i got a lot of work picture and i need it :(

Quiet, fast, effective

It's also perfect for backing up a computer. 4 TB was the right call for me; now I can store all my media in one place. It's light, portable, and easy to take on the go as well.

I would recommend this to anyone that needs more storage for their pc or console. Speeds are good, and has a power button in the back so you can turn it off at night.
