[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Western Digital for over 15 years now and have never been disappointed. This Western Digital Element 4TB is no different. It is very compact, does not take much room on my desk and has really good transfer rates.
I was able to transfer my entire music and video collection from my desktop to this hard drive in no time using the USB 3.0 port.
Overall, I am very pleased with this new back up hard drive from WD which gets a solid 5 stars rating from me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fast Transfer Speed and Large Amount of Storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a popular photo service changed from free to paid, I wanted to back up my data in high quality. As such I wanted a large device (4TB) that was reliable and allowed me to move my data at a high rate of speed from device to device.
I was able to move 18GB of data in about 90 seconds. I am excited to be able to dump photos from my phone to this storage device as well as learn to use the auto-backup and cloud tools that came pre-loaded.

Now I am able to load filed onto the drive instead of filling up space on my laptop. Highly recommend for anyone looking to store mass amount of files and documents. Great for storing photos too!

This hard drive was just what I needed. It is pretty quick when backing up as well as retrieving files that I need. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a new external hard drive.

It backs up things as quickly as any other external storage I've owned which is a nice speed. I know this is a good brand so I anticipate that my stuff will be safe for life.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great extra storage for what I need it for. do not expect to get the fastest thing with no lag but for everyday normal storage, shared storage and moving stuff to another computer this was perfect for me. Worked right out of box with no hassle.
