[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Giant 4TB Western Digital External Hard Drive is my families Firebox of Memories and General Info. Super secure , it offers so much instant storage, we can’t imagine actually filling it all! We’ve all had the pitfalls of lost information and memories through broken computers, failing fans causing overheating, and even theft - we decided it’s not happening again!! This awesome hard drive stores all our info and memories safe and separately - avoiding any possibilities of loss and providing the ease of mind that anyone who has lost a computer or phone will never take for granted. We knew to go for western digital as they have been a front runner of hard drive tech since we can remember and have certainly gone above and beyond what we needed! Extremely user friendly setup and use, if you can click a mouse, you ll have no issue securing your life with this powerhouse hard drive of awesome!
I would recommend this to a friend!

No WD security to encrypt information.

I purchased and to my surprise there is no WD security software comes with the and you have to use third party software. this is absolutely ridicules.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Crap product, came in defective, hooked up to 2 computers and it would even recognize it, I have had WD drives before but this will definitely be the last time I ever order one from them
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LINKS TO USERS MANUAL from Desktop Icon (WD Discovery) does not work! When clicking the USER MANUAL under RESOURCES it does not take you to a manual it takes you to your PRIVACY STATEMENT! A search of manuals on your site does not reveal a manual available after going through 22 pages!
