I have tried electric shavers before but they never got as close as a razor. I decided to try this shaver because of the claims of a close shave and no irritation. I have to give it to Phillips for the no irritation part because they were right. But I am still having problems in the neck area as far as the closeness. The side shaver on this thing needs some work as well. It's not as smooth as my razor but I will stick with the SensoTouch for the ease of use.
Pros: quick, no irritation, easy to use and clean
Cons: still not as smooth as a razor, side shaver sucks

Very convenient

The shaver is very convenient. Very comfortable to handle and shaves very well. Its ability to be used in the shower makes it very convenient. I think that the only down sides that I have found are that the trimmer is rather narrow and kind of awkward in its placement so I use it when I can't use my regular trimmer, and since the charger can't be broken down for travel it creates unnecessary bulk on trips lasting longer than the charge on the battery. Overall it is a great product.

There are many in this SensoTouch series, so some might be even better, but the thing gets the contours of my face, very closely, without the irritation of a razor. Good stuff. Wish the instruction was more clear about charging the battery. Don't keep putting it back in the charger as I did. Let the thing run down.

I have been using electric razors for most of my adult life. This is by far the best. I get a clean fast shave every time. I have the automatic charger/cleaner which is super. Beside this, you can just brush out the clippings and/or rinse under hot water. I can't wait to see what they come out with next.
