This is my second Philips electric shaver I have owned and I am loving it. The first was a Norelco 7616x, which served me well for over 5 years! I'm definitely looking forward to SensoTouch to last me as long or longer. Using this shaver is just as good as shaving with a razor. My skin is left feeling smooth whether or not I use shaving cream. I do think that it is awesome that I can use shaving cream to shave with this shaver. I'm happy with the size of the trimmer, I would be happier if it were a bit larger. I highly recommend this product. Yes, you'll be paying twice as much as some of the other shavers, but the SensoTouch is worth every penny!

I have been using this product for wet shaves and it is exvcellent, though it does take time. I would recommend it highly above any blade shaving system, though it doesn't give as close a shave. It does pretty well, though, given the fact that it considerably reduces burns and nicks produced by conventional blades.
Pros: close shave comfortable versatile
Cons: requires a lot of time to get a good wet shave.

Thank you for your feedback. Your first shaves may not give you the result you expect. It is recommended to take into account an adaptation period of 3 weeks. During this period, use your new electric shaver exclusively and do not alternate shaving methods; alternating shaving methods makes it more difficult to adapt to the new shaving system
Move the shaving heads over the skin, making both straight and circular movements.
Your skin may need 2-3 weeks to get accustomed to this Philips system.
To prevent damage, put the protection cap on the shaver after use. Hope this helps.

Original is great Replace blade head is not so good.

I just received two RQ12 replace heads and they are not up to standard. I am very disappointed that the replacement heads are not the same as the original shaving head. I will not purchase any more replacement heads and will toss the razor as soon as the 2nd replacement head is worn.
Pros: great original razor heads

I have odium toward shaving, and this electric razor is the best that I have ever owned! It is quick & easy to use, and nonirritating on my extremely sensitive skin.
Pros: ... neat (dry), safe, and closer than a disposable

Having gone through various blade razors over the years, occasionally I would get tired of razor cuts and try an electric, which always ended up making my skin feel like it had been through a belt-sander. I had given up on electrics, but before this Christmas, on a whim when I saw it in the store, I bought myself a Norelco 1250XCC with the Jet Clean system because I noted that you could use this razor wet, with foam.
I will NEVER go back to a blade again as long as this razor performs the way it does. My skin is smoother than it ever was with a blade, there is no irritation, it's fast, and I find myself wishing I could shave more than once a day with this product. Up to now shaving was a necessary and somewhat annoying (and occasionally hazardous) chore. Philips can use my name, my recommendation, whatever they like to sell this product. I will never use another razor, unless they update it to make it better, although I have no idea how they COULD make it better. At whatever price, the 1250XCC Senso-Touch 3D razor is a winner.
Pros: smoothest shave on the planet, can use with foam or gel, no face irritation when used wet, superb cleaning system

I'm a long time user of Norelco razors and decided to give the 1250xcc a go. My original Norelco razor was lost and I had replaced with an Arcitec. I wasn't too satisfied with that razor went back to manual shaving for some time. After reading some reviews and doing some research, I decided to go electric again.
The 1250xcc is a great value. The only thing you'd be missing from the top-tier models are digital readouts and the JetClean+ system. Functionality wise, the 1250 is equally matched with all other models in the SensoTouch 3D line.
The razor is the quietest I have used and passes my rooster test - can I shave without waking anyone else up in early morning hours.
The razor offers a comfortable and clean wet shave. It also handles coarse and long hairs with ease. This model is also capable of dry shaving.
It's easy to clean. You can give it a quick clean by opening the shaving head and rinsing the cutters and combs / and or use the JetClean system. For those of us with thicker hair, you can also remove the individual cutters from their combs and clean them separately. For day to day use, a quick rinse under hot water or using the JetClean system should suffice.
Overall, can't go wrong with this razor. I would definitely recommend this model/line to anyone who is similar to me relative to having a sensitive face, is prone to shaving bumps, and has coarse facial hair.
Pros: quiet, easy to clean, close shave, wet or dry
Cons: included travel pouch is kind of bulky

The Silent Smooth Sexy Razor

I used to shave myself electrically until I was in bootcamp and my drill sergeant was not happy with my Remington results. I was forced to go into shaving cream and razor blades which I did for more than 30 years... But then my wife gave me the SensoTouch3D Model 1250XCC. What a revolution electric shaving has undergone: I could not believe my ears, eyes and touch. A silent, smooth and silky shaving experience. Performs both wet and dry - but why bother with shaving cream and water, if the dry cut is as good as the wet one. This razor would also make my drill instructor happy.
