I liked the idea of being able to use the shave in the shower. So, I bought it. However, I found it easier to use dry, or with a pre-shave lubricant.
Most disappointing is that the shave isn't as close for me as the hype indicates. It is very difficult to get a close shave overall, and particularly near my cheek bones/side burns.
Yes, it's been notably longer than the break-in/adjustment period. The only reason I stick with this razor for now is that I am too cheap to go back to disposable razors. Quite a conundrum.
Pros: no blood drawn when i shave, easy to clean, battery life
Cons: closeness of shave is....meh, takes too long to shave face

I am 66 years old and have been an avid fan of Norelco Electric Razors, but, this is the worst razor that I have ever owned. My wife bought this razor for me last Christmas. I am use to Norelco Razors wearing out in about two years, but, this model has not cut well since I got it. The packaging came with a battery driven two head travel razor that cuts better than this one. I will no longer recommend Norelco to any of my friends or neighbors. I have tolerated this for seven months, but, no more. I am currently using the travel razor and will continue to do so until I can find a decent replacement.
Cons: lousy razor

An excellent procuct that provides a great shave. Ocassionally, it seems difficult to disengage the shaving head holder to rinse under hot wter.
Electric shavers are supposed to be treated carefully, but in a bathroom environment that doesn't always happen. The Philips Norelco SensoTouch will take getting knocked about. The shaver has a modern, sleek appearance. The only complaint is that it's a bit noisy.
Pros: stylish
Cons: noisy

Decent shave but not good for traveling.

Theis shaver is not good for traveling. You have to take the charger, stand, two heads (shaver and trimmer), cleaning brush and case. If you do not keep it plugged in and the battery dies, you can't plug it in and keep shaving since you must put it in the charging stand and wait for it to charge. The head design doesn't seem to allow it to shave close under the nose and it doesn't seen to do a good job close to the sideburns. My wife objected to it being always plugged in and sitting in the sink area as we have limited counter space and had to be moved for her to clean (besides the black color didn't complement the bathroom color scheme) - I was able to store my old one in the cabinet and just plug it in every couple of weeks when it needed charging.
Pros: reasonably good shave
Cons: must put in stand to charge, must change head to trim, too many things to keep up with when traveling, doesn't seem to shave good near sideburns and nose

Worst norelco I have ever owned. I've shaved with norelco razors for over 35 years. The shave was so poor. wouldn't cut the beard or shave close.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear that you’ve had a disappointing experience with our Philips Norelco shaver. You may adapt the below given steps for best shaving technique and get good results.
• Move the shaving heads over the skin, making both straight and circular movements.
• Your skin may need 2-3 weeks to get accustomed to this Philips system.
• To prevent damage, put the protection cap on the shaver after use.
Your first shaves may not give you the result you expect and your skin may even become slightly irritated. This is not uncommon since your skin and beard need time to adapt to any new shaving system. It is recommended to take into account an adaptation period of 3 weeks, during which you should shave regularly (at least 3 times per week) to allow your hair and skin to adapt to the new shaver.
During this period, use your new electric shaver exclusively and do not alternate shaving methods; alternating shaving methods makes it more difficult to adapt to the new shaving system. If the problem still persists we would request you to contact our Consumer Care team by accessing the below link: http://www.support.philips.com/support/contact/contact_page.jsp?userLanguage=en&userCountry=us. Thanks.
