This shaver works as advertised

The pivoting head follows my facial contours more easily, but the closeness of the shave is about the same as my previous Norelco that is five years old.
Pros: nice design
Cons: average shave

I DON'T LIKE THE SEPARATE TRIMMER. I MISS THE BUILT-IN TRIMMER, WHICH MAKES IT EASY TO DO A DAILY TRIM.

I havery a very tough beard and this shaver works really well for me.
Cons: have to use shave cream not soap or it clogs up

wet or dry, a close,fast and comfortable shave.

regarding the 1160x shaver, i especially like the fact that it can be used for either wet or dry shaving. in either mode, it gives a close, fast and comfortable shave. also, i am getting about two weeks of shaves before recharging is necessary. it cleans quickly with hot water, without using a brush.
Pros: have recommended to a friend
Cons: travel case should be a heavierzipped plastic mat

I use it everyday - for along time I used a non-gel pre-shave but now find that I get a better shave using a wet shave-gel that I used to use when I shaved with a straight razor. I cannot get a better shave with a straight razor. No cuts, no bleeding - just comfortable shave!!
Cons: when battery runs down you cannot plug in to shave
