Once I adjusted to the flexible head and learned how best to use it for a smooth, comfortable shave, I was able to get the close shave I require. Electric razors, in my opinion, will never deliver the close shave a safety razor gives, but this Norelco comes close. At the end of the day my face isn't a field of stubble; it still has a fairly close shave feel to it. To me, that's important.

Not good for traveling on long trips

I like the overall razor but the charging requires the stand. The electrical connection is only though the stand which means you have to pack the stand on a longer trip. Also the protective cap broke in the first month and a new one is expensive. I will try and glue it.
Pros: give a good shave
Cons: need the stand when traveling

This razor gives me the best shave I have even had from any electric. The charging stand is a great accessory. A pop up trimmer would be more convenient but the trimmer does work well once attached. The instructions on how to change blades are not very good. I was scared I was going to break it. Easy once you figure it out but not very intuitive.
Pros: great shave!
Cons: no pop up trimmer, instructions shaky on how to change blades

I WANT MY OLD SHAVER BACK!! NO, NOT REALLYI LOVE THE QUALITY OF THE SHAVE BUT DEFINITELY DO NOT LIKE THE DETACHABLE HEAD FEATURE AND THE METHOD OF REINSERTION. ALSO, MY PREVIOUS SHAVER WAS EASIER TO CLEAN AND MORE EFFECTIVE.
Pros: i've been using norelco shavers for over 65 years!

Closest shave I've ever had! Great with gel....

I previously owned the Phillips Spectra, which I was happy with. When it no longer held a charge I knew it was time for a new razor. I ended up seeing the Senso-Touch model 1160X and bought one. For the first time I experimented shaving with gel, and am happy I did, I now get the most comfortable and closest shaves I have ever had! I run the heads under hot water throughout the shave and then to clean it afterwards. Simple! I highly recommend this shaver to everyone!
