Disappointing

This was probably the worst Star Wars Lego set that I have ever built. The instructions were poor. The construction is flimsy; the sides fall off, and the stand doesn't hold up. Not worth the money.

Good quality display model

I've wanted an UCS X-Wing for awhile and I'm really happy with how this model turned out! This looks like an update and reprint from the previous two UCS X-Wing sets and is the same scale/size. Compared to the minifig-scale 75218, this larger scaled UCS gives room for extra details over all the surfaces. There are four stickers total. Luke has a painted visor and a smaller helmet compared to 75218's Luke. I personally didn't encounter any difficulties building the kit—it was a pleasant build. The model can be easily handled near the back/bottom without breaking, but it's built for display and not extended play. The "lock S-foils into attack positions" mechanism is very clever but slightly wobbly. It has two states (lock/unlock) vs. the previous UCS X-Wing's geared mechanism. When the wings are closed, there's an even gap between, which looks good to me (how I imagine a "real" X-Wing would have). The X-Wing can stand on the thrusters, but I wouldn't leave it that way as each wing is essentially attached via one Technic bar. This is a model I'm excited to keep!

Mediocre UCS X-Wing
on May 17, 2023

While some people may be majorly let down if huge LEGO enthusiasts or collectors, however, I would say it makes for a decent display piece (especially if this is your first UCS X-wing or UCS set in general.) With that said, it definitely has some glaring problems in several areas I've found:
1) The build itself is pretty fun, but it's not the most stable build ever. The main portions are held by two technic pins and a few clear pieces near the nose that can very easily fall apart if not handled with some care, and some of the wing detailings near the rear are always falling off personally.
2) They should include a plastic bag for the cockpit hatch, mine was not scratched, but very easily could during shipment.
3) The actual display stand is terribly weak in regards to supporting the weight of the finished set. This really needs a fix officially from LEGO, I recommend modifying it as needed.
4) R2-D2 should have been to scale along with a minifig to stand next to the awesomely printed Pilot Luke Skywalker.
5) The last criticism is the use of the rubber bands, with ZERO given spares... I truly hope these age well...

Flimsy

As others have said, this is a "handle with care" model. The side pieces are held together precariously with very few solid touch points. Very easy to knock a side panel off. Not sure how long the 2 small rubber band mechanism will hold, and it's not like you can just pop a panel off to replace it. It looks great, but don't touch it.

QA Not Good, Build Somewhat difficult
on May 15, 2023

This was my first ever Collectors Edition Starfighter build and it took me over 2 weeks to complete the build. The reason it took me so long however is due to waiting for parts to arrive.
This build had 3 missing pieces and 1 miscolored piece that forms the front nose which I notice every-time I look at the Starfighter.
This Starfighter is pretty big so make sure you have enough space to place this thing to display.
I'm glad the parts I needed weren't too special and it only took a week for more parts to arrive. Reading other reviews it seems they have had to wait longer than me to get them.
You've got to be pretty careful when handling this thing as it's pretty flimsy how the sides that lead up to the nose are attached to the main body. The only real place to hold it is the base, but even then I feel nervous about dropping or breaking the thing.
I can understand a set having a missing piece every thousand or so boxes, but from the amount of reviews that are mentioning missing pieces/damaged pieces it seems to be a much larger issue.
Kind of bummed to pay this much money to have, what is essentially, an incomplete build.

Pass on this

I wanted this set to be so much better. I wanted an x-wing to match the tie fighter (set 75095) but this set it not it. From the sagging wings (due to lack of support) to the stand loosing pieces when used, this set is lacking. To say I was disappointed is an understatement statement.

Who let this happen?

This build is elementary. If you sneeze on it it will apart. Major pieces are held together by simple 2 piece bricks and it has no structure. Tons of spots are left wide open as if they were cutting costs. This should have been borderline Technic level for the price, instead it was like they let 10 year olds design a legendary piece. Sad.
