AMAZING build, hard to manage

This build was so much fun. Lots of little details and cool techniques. The final product is amazing. The design and look are incredible. The wing components could be a little more stable (maybe an extra set of technic supports?) but overall works great. My son loves switching the wing formation.
The challenge is with managing the set. It is HUGE, it sticks out pretty significantly on my IKEA Billy bookshelf. It either needs a deeper shelf or perhaps a dresser / TV stand display. The hardest part, though, is that you can’t really lay it down off the stand. Without landing gear, the wings rest on the ground and pieces fall off.
I preferred to flip the display so I could see the details when it’s displayed higher. The default setting is better if you’re able to display it closer to the ground.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poorly Designed UCS Set

I built this UCS set awhile back and have had it on display for quite some time. It has proven to be my least favorite UCS set in my collection by a long shot. It is both poorly designed asthetitically and in terms of stability. Visually it is very inaccurate to the source material and the proportions are off of the OG X-wing design. Every time I look at it, it makes me want to redesign it myself. Not enough care and time was given in designing this set. We've had multiple UCS X-Wings in the past, but this iteration is subpar compared to the previous versions. I'm all for massive engines, but the oversized engines makes it look less like an X-wing and more like a compensation modification. UCS sets are typically more fragile, but many of the connections on this set are beyond that. Lego please take more time designing your sets, and have teams of designers for large sets like this.

Too big and poor build

Man, at first glance, I thought this would be amazing, but there are so many issues. Building it was also not the best as the pieces do not fit perfectly, which is surprising. It is a very fragile and too big of a build. In my opinion, if they made the slightly smaller or shorter in the front, it could’ve been perfect. I wish they would almost remake this set to a better size or fix some of the issues.

Final product looks and feels great. I don’t like that I have to put stickers on it. Build is definitely redundant but I think that’s unavoidable with an xwing especially if you want it to look good when finished.

This build is GREAT! I am not sure why the reviews are bad, as I was building this I thought it gave me a challenge and that is what I do love about different Lego sets. Great build, looks awesome, enjoyed every bit of this.

X-Wing

This piece simply is not solid. The wings are flopping around because they are held together by 2 rubber bands. Getting the wings on was ridiculous as sections of the ship started falling apart. I just want to throw it away now.
