Looks great. Fun build. Super flimsy. Expensive.

I knew this one didn’t match up price-wise with some other similar size ships. I have built both the Guardians ship and Batwing. Both were more detailed builds and considerably less expensive. The X-Wing is iconic though and will look great mounted on my wall, so I paid the extra money. The build was fun. The wing adjust knob works well, but overall the thing is super flimsy. Taking the X-Wing off the stand and walking upstairs caused numerous panels to fall off the side and were tedious to put back on without completely removing the wings. There is no right way to hold the model without it breaking. It’s on the wall now in one piece, so I’m happy, but there might have been some foul language getting it there.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Most Frustrating Build Ever

I have never had less fun building lego. It kept falling apart and I kept getting so frustrated I wanted to break it apart and put it back in the box. I’d place a wing on and another panel would fall off. I’d fix that thing and something else would break. I’m not an amateur builder so I can’t imagine how absolutely insane this would be for a novice. Take my advice and buy something else with your money.

Panels, stand have flaws, can be frustrating but..

Look, I still loved the way this build turned out. But as other reviews mentioned the side panels on front body are not constructed to be held in place with much strength. The stand has 2 pieces that pop off if not glued due to the weight of the actual x-wing. Besides that it actually looks great and if you are not a Star Wars snob, or this is your first X-wing build you should love the final look. Made strictly for display in my opinion

Somewhat of a let down

So somewhat of a new builder huge Star Wars fan. Began with the Star Wars helmets and enjoyed them. Had built the smaller X Wing and liked the looks of this one. Somewhat pricy though, but again liked the look of this one and wanted a bigger challenge.
First this thing is massive, much larger than thought would be. Build was straight forward, although could use better direction for some steps. As some have said the stand is not that stable and for the price would’ve thought would have been better. Some of the side panels while doing other parts would pop off, needs better support.
No missing pieces which is nice, looks good but be sure have the space to display it!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A bit disappointed

So I’ve built a lot of the small to medium starwars sets and this is the first set that I’ve been really disappointed with the side panels are really tricky and don’t stay on it’s made the build very difficult and frustrating to build. I honestly haven’t finished it because of that every time I get finish it the side piece would pop off I even rebuilt the whole side thinking I did something wrong but nope they just keep popping off so I wouldn’t recommend this set

Poor Design

When I finally built the whole set the pieces immediately fell apart due to minimum support on the sides of the ship. Overall the set doesn't hold up well when displayed..
