Best build so far

I was very reluctant to buy this because of the reviews and cost but I am very satisfied with my purchase. I’m 50 and fell in love with legos again after a Christmas present and haven’t looked back. I’ve seen a few reviews talking about nose cones or wings not fitting properly and I did have a few problems at first but I’ve learned if it doesn’t seem to fit or work properly to stop and look again. This has helped me numerous times. Not that it wasn’t put properly in the instructions how to do it but I think many times after building LEGOS for an hour your mind may drift a bit and mistakes happen. Mine functions extremely well and everything fit perfectly except for one piece I was having a small problem with but as the build progressed it fit into another and no problems after.
I think if you read bad reviews it may actually not be so much LEGOS fault on this one. Just from what I have seen.
SPOILER ALERT: The only thing I was not very found of other than the one piece I couldn’t get to fit 100% correctly (I think) was one part needs rubber bands. Not that it’s horrible or anything at all and after finishing the build I completely see why it was done but it’s legos, not rubber bands. Also not a fan of the beginning of the manual at all but you can’t please everyone.
In my opinion very well worth the money and time you spend creating it. I’d definitely do it again and look forward to my next build.

I love all things stars wars and was so excited for this set. I am now left dissappointed as I feel the construction quality is very poor. It is very flimsy and panels tend to fall off if handled at all. Unless you plan to build this set and never move it (once you can get it together without panels falling off) I would recommend to skip this one.

This is a good set with little to no flaws. The only problem I see is the fact that there is no landing gear but it’s not like you would use it because of the included stand.

It’s not that great

I found it very frustrating, The side panels do not stay on what so ever and when they fall off it takes 30 minutes to put them back on, also when they do they leave behind the part which clicks in leaving for a very inconvenient repair and it’s annoying and it’s frustrating to the point where I’m gonna have to take it apart and make my own connection to make it better.

Awesome concept

I love star wars and my wife graciously allowed me to buy this set around may 4th. I have built other sets in the past so I know that some of these can be pretty difficult to build and get together. This one is sadly testing my patience, I cant get the side pieces to stay on no matter what I do. I have read others who say to build the nosecone section then to try and hold it all together that way. Sadly it just does not want to work. I don’t like to super glue my sets but I am at a point I may just so I can have it as a display piece. Lego needs to take a look at this build and adjust these issues before I would recommend the set to anyone else.

I’ve built many Lego sets through my life and this is by far theeee worst expierence I’ve ever had. Every time I tried to put something together another fell apart. This is built so terribly long pieces held on by one block the slightest touch and it all crumbles. I’ve never been so disappointed in a build in my entire time doing legos since I was 4. I couldn’t even complete the build. I was on bay 9 of 10 and so much fell off and came apart I can’t get it back together so it was just a waste of money.

Great X-Wing for any fan!

Didn't have any issues with scratches, panels falling off, the stand etc. All are working as intended and doing fine. I wouldn't swoosh this around much, but for a display it's great! It's VERY big and the only issue I have with the build is there is no to scale luke figure for the cockpit, and the R2 is just the wrong scale to include on the build. I will eventually use an R2 Polybag (larger dome) version with some modifications now that I have it built.
This is a great display for any Star Wars fan! The build experience was fun for the most part, the wings get repetitive, but that's an x-wing ;) .. The wing mechanism is OK - but I wouldn't enjoy it if I had to use it all the time.
