As a British expat who grew up in 50's 0 60's London, I was immediately drawn to this nostalgic set which spurs so many fond memories for me. The attention to detail is amazing and the historic notes in the instruction booklet told me a lot that I didn't know. The building experience was fun and not too challenging. I especially love the 'setting '. The wrought iron fence, the lamp standard as well as the typical London street name are all evocative touches which greatly enhance the finished product. it very quickly became my all-time favorite set and I have just about all the London landmarks Definitely ten gold stars.
I spent an entire evening building this telephone booth and enjoyed putting it together. However, the top of the booth kept popping off, which was a bit frustrating. I appreciated how you could change the inside design, but I wish there were extra pieces included to avoid having to take it apart to make these changes. Despite this, it's a great addition to my collection.
I was super excited for this set when it was announced. I loved the design, and thought the light brick was a nice touch. I also really liked how there were two different interior options. However, I was very disappointed to learn that I could only build one out of two of those options. The marketing and reviews I had watched/read prior to my purchase made it seem like I could build both designs simultaneously. I really wish that I didn't have to choose which pieces/stickers to use, since I loved both interior options. Now I have quite a few extra pieces that I can't do much with. Other than that, I think that the overall finished product is a great display piece. The colors are neutral without being too boring, and it's fairly priced too. Would definitely recommend this set to any casual Lego builder
Wonderful build, very close to the real thing. You are given a choice early on to have the inside replicate the early K2 or a more modern version. Combined with an interior light, an iconic light post, and the authentic detail, the entire experience has you turning up the collar of your overcoat and keeping an eye out for Jack the Ripper!
