Overall I am impressed with the Optimus Prime set. Build time was about 4 hours total, nicely paired with watching the original cartoon series while building it.
The instructions were a little unclear at points, but with the box pictures, I was able to sort out the rough patches without much problem. On the play aspect, the legs don't connect to the torso very securely, mine has an issue where the leg will pop off if I don't hold it right and will come off if you try and transform it. Same with the lower part of the torso, the same area where the legs connect, that portion will come apart easily too. My thinking is there is too much weight in the torso and legs for it to hold together securely. Luckily my Prime will hang out on a shelf and won't be messed with too much. But, for anyone with kids, this could be a point of frustration.
Overall nice model and a fun build, I would recommend it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We’re glad to see you liked the Optimus Prime and love hearing how much you enjoyed building it. Looks like we could’ve done more to turn it from awesome to super awesome! Thanks for letting us know what would make your LEGO® experience even better. Your feedback will be shared with our design team!
I loved Transformers as a kid so I was super excited for this building set. Overall it was a fun addition to my other Lego sets, but it was the first time I experienced purchasing a set that was missing a piece and the stickers. Hopefully Lego will send me the missing parts so I can complete the entire build.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Oh no! That's no fun. It’s rare for a LEGO® set to be missing pieces. If those wayward pieces aren't just stuck in the packaging somewhere, visit LEGO.build/Service-BV and we'll request what you need!
Enjoyable build and a nice touch with the transformation between truck and robot mode. Great addition to my G1 collection. Can’t wait for the next one!
This gotta be my favorite set. Never thought lego would make a transformer. The building processes was fun and it's worth it in the end and especially the transformation process between robot and truck forms.
As a kid back in the 80's, I was a huge LEGO and Transformer fan. I tried my hand at building the transformable LEGO versions of my favorite characters. I uncovered an incomplete Jetfire when I opened a long dormant tin containing my childhood LEGO. It was a pleasure to see and build. Thanks.
