Optimus Prime

I loved reliving my childhood as I was building Optimus Prime. I was thrilled to see the completed product. My disappointment started when I tried to transform Optimus Prime. Each time I try to transform the set, pieces multiple pieces fall apart. The bottom half does seem to fully support the top half of the set. Optimus Prime is great to look at but disappointing on each attempt at transforming. For the cost. The set should be able to handle the transforming. I would recommend the set for display but would warn that transforming is very frustrating

Fantastic Look, Decent Functionality

I've loved coming home and looking at this set, a great rendition of Optimus Prime. So glad to have it! Wish that the arms could support themselves in a braced stance, though. The arms are not great at holding themselves up even without holding an item.

Recommend only for fans not for play

Extremely excited when I saw that this model had been released. Relatively easy build considering other builds I have completed. However, this one is among the most FRAGILE ones I have ever purchased.
The connection point from the upper torso to the legs does seems a little weak in the clutch strength that is expected with Lego making moving a display piece challenging.
This probably one of the only sets I would actually consider gluing together to avoid accidental destruction given that only 1 piece fell off and the picture is the result of trying to place it back.

Flimsy - do not try to transform

If by transform, Lego meant "falls apart the minute you touch it", then they nailed it. It's not bad looking and I was skeptical of its ability to actually transform and I was right. It's barely held together at the waist, so it just breaks the minute you try to move it. As a piece to put on a shelf, it's fine. Except, his head is very, very tiny.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Optimus should be able to transform smoothly. Some rebuilding might be needed. Make sure all the parts are tightly pressed together. If you need help with the build, reach out to us at LEGO.build/Service-BV.

Looks nice, but be careful

Looks nice, but has a few serious structural design flaws. The head pops off if you look at it the wrong way and the waist has separated on me twice, leading to rebuilds that took an hour+ each. If you get it, I advise build it, take some pictures, put it on a shelf and never touch it again.

It was a great and fun build all around and I was really happy with how it came out after the first 3 bags it went from flimsy to a strong build and it being able to transform makes this one of my favorite Lego sets yet
