Happy with performance - great perked coffee, stem on basket could be a tad longer but does not hinder, use each day. Thanks for providing a product that seems to be increasingly harder to obtain.
We purchased this to get away from bleeched filters and love it's all stainless steel. The coffee is how we remember it when we were younger. So much better than those modern day coffee machines. We enjoy our coffee again. It's incredible that after it's made, just unplug it and it will stay hot for several hours. You have no clue what you are missing, not drinking this coffee. We are so glad they still make this.
Quickly makes very hot and flavorful coffee. Some grounds make it into the coffee but less than our previous percolator. The coffee never contacts any plastic parts, which was a requirement for us. Overall, this is a great product.
Brews the best cup of coffee we've had from a percolator. The secret is to use cold water from the refrigerator. That way the percolation time is around 14 minutes. Well made product. Would definitely recommend it!!!
We enjoyed coffee from our Presto percolator coffee maker every day for 16 years. We just bought a replacement and we will continue to use the new one -- for 16 or more years! Here are some reasons we are happy with the Presto percolator: 1- This coffee maker makes great coffee 2 - Think of all the disposable coffee filters and "pods" that we *haven't* thrown in the trash when we have used our Presto percolator. 3 - Think of all the fragile glass and plastic drip coffee makers that we *didn't* have to keep replacing every 12-18 months. 4 - The shape and design of the Presto percolator is retro and modern at the same time - a very stylish addition to our kitchen counter. Thank you for making a solid, durable, practical, attractive, and functional coffee maker! YAY!
I have owned this Percolator for about 15 years and love it for it's ability to make strong, full bodied, full flavor coffee. Occasionally I would get a weak pot and that would lead to cleaning, stretching the tube spring and suspecting my new bag of coffee. I have learned two things. 1) don't overfill the basket. And most recently, 2) my machine would perk for about 12 minutes with tap water from my sink. With three coffee mugs of ice cubes in the pot and then filled with water, it perks for 14.5 minutes. Great Coffee! So the perk time is adjustable by how cold the water is. It wish it was in the instructions.
