I was looking for something eco-friendly. It isn't as convenient as my drip coffee maker was, but now I'm not drinking boiled water through plastic anymore. At first I was getting grounds or sludge in the last cup, but with a little practice, the product is delivering a great cup of coffee as promised. I'm very happy with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Although not required, a wraparound filter is recommended to alleviate most grounds getting into your coffee. You're right, it takes a little practice. We're happy to hear the coffee maker is working well for your household. Let is know if we can help you going forward. Call 1-800-877-0441 if you need someone from our Customer Service Team to help you. We're available weekdays, 8-4 CT.
Grrrrrr, I ordered this product because it stated it was 100% stainless steel. I just received the percolator only to find out it's not! Why can't companies take some responsibility and producing clean, healthy products? The comments below from Presto "we didn't mean to be deceitful, aluminum is better for heating" Seriously?? We will gladly wait longer for a clean cup of coffee! Sending this back immediately.

We appreciate your review and will share with our design team. Thank you.
I am not happy that this percolator has an aluminum part as a heating element that would leach aluminum into my coffee. The company is not totally transparent with consumers, falsaly claiming that that is stainless steel.

We are not trying to be deceitful. We are sorry you feel this way. We use aluminum for the perk well for best heating capabilities. The body, spout, basket and perk tube are all stainless steel.
I have exclusively owned a Presto coffee percolator for the last 34 years. My first one lasted about 15 years, But since then, I’ve had to buy one about every 2 to 3 years. I have purchased three in the last year or so. I have had trouble getting good coffee from all three of these pots. One I gave to my daughter, one I kept for myself and I gave the other one to my father and all three pots are not perking the coffee long enough. We have been using the same coffee for 34 years and I am well aware of how to clean and take care of a percolator. The pot is spotless every time I use it. I also wish that the basket was bigger so that the grinds would not spill out into the coffee. If you make more than 6 cups, you’re going to have a pot full of grinds.

Using wraparound filters will help contain the grounds from spilling into the coffee. Although it's not mandatory that you use them, it does help the clarity of the coffee.
Kids got us a Keurig but the old style percolator blows it and Mr. Coffee out of the water! Presto is the best for sure. Please don't stop making this quality pot...
