I switched to the Presto percolator because I wanted to stop having microplastics in my coffee and this percolator is 100% stainless steel. It’s easy to use and the fact that my coffee tastes so much better was a pleasant surprise.

Love the look of the stainless steel - it’s easy to use & clean. Coffee is extremely hot which I like. I have the 12 cup - still trying to perfect the brew. More often than not, I’m making 6-8 cups- still coming out too weak . I use plenty of coffee grounds coarse/ medium coarse. Found a video about shutting it off around 7 minutes of percolating time - that has helped some. Any suggestions would be helpful. Maybe, I should just do the full pot and use complete brew time but just seems wasteful . I do love not having plastic touch my coffee .

I have used Presto percolators most of my life. True, the older ones can last for years and years. Now days with planned obsolenscense they last about 5 or 6 years. I have read others saying perked coffee is bitter. I have never known a bitter cup of coffee from a Presto percolator. We recently moved a long distance and the basket lid was ho where to be found, so looked on line at this site, and 2 days later I had a new one. I will continue to use Presto percolators. Love Presto!!!

I have used this coffee pot every single day for at least 10 years and its still going strong. It makes the best coffee and everyone who has coffee at my house raves over how great the coffee is

heating element failed after 14 months. Then I come back here to see other reviews point out that the heating core is aluminum. UNACCEPTABLE. I would never have bought this had I known that aluminum was in any part that is exposed to heat and my precious coffee. Shame! You said it was all stainless steel. Very disappointed. I probably will not buy any Presto items in the future. You better hope I don't remember to sue when I get alzheimer's. Not kidding.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
