Using with a laptop tray - working out ok.

September 2016: Purchased in July so have been using it for a couple months. Attached a Fleximounts notebook tray for my macbook pro in place of a monitor to the VESA mount. I wanted something I could adjust the screen height independent of the keyboard height. This works out ok.Adjustability is easy, lifts up and down as I expected. Arm moves around easily. There is reasonable room remaining on the surface for accessories. Keyboard shelf is plenty wide for mac wireless keyboard and mouse.A minor complaint: my desktop is a bit too tall so I had hoped in the lowered seated position the keyboard would be lower than my desk surface. The way this is designed there isn't really any difference. In fact the keyboard shelf is designed to sit on top of the desk when lowered but I slid the whole thing forward (as in the picture) to allow it to drop over the edge. It doesn't however and the keyboard ends up pretty much level with the desktop. All it would take is for the manufacturer to include a taller bracket that would allow the keyboard shelf to extend down another couple inches. I might even try to make one. Again this is a factor of my desk and would not be an issue for you if you are happy with your desk height. However if you are looking to get it lower like I was take note.So far haven't noticed any stability issues. It's pretty sturdy and heavy. The feet \stick\" well to the table top without moving around any. However I am careful not to lean on it. It is clearly not designed to handle that. Supports my arm weight just fine. There is a tiny bit of shaking when I type but nothing that has bothered me.Thinking about a second monitor arm I can attach to this to go dual head with a monitor next to the laptop. I believe this will handle the extra weight just fine. Will update the review if I do that."

Great Item, Worth The Price

I've enjoyed using the stand. It is very flexible and adjusts smoothly. When typing on it, it does move up and down a little bit. I have mostly gotten use to it, but sometimes I prop a book under it when I'm sitting. It doesn't quite sit flat on my desk because I had to install it a little higher for my height.Initial assembly is best to have two people mainly because it's so big and heavy. I knew it would be big and heavy, but that's not surprising. It works wonderfully moving from side to side or up and down very smoothly and great ease. I made a very choice getting this and I definitely suggest others get it. Shipping was quick and no problems with the seller, nor did I have to replace anythingThank You

An affordable Option ... Considering
on December 4, 2016

I was accustomed of the Ergotron standing desk from my previous employment. However, I really couldn't afford that myself and was trying to find an option. I was concerned the stand would be sensitive to typing and making it shake a lot. It has a little vibration, but I think you have to type pretty heavily for it to really be an issue. It moves with such ease that I think a young child can move it. My only concern negative is the monitors are too flat. It would be better, more ergonomic, to have them slightly angled in instead of completely flat. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Fantastic product. Came with all the required screws and tools along with the guide to assemble. However, it took little long to assemble it (around 90 minutes). But, I was ok with that.
