Good, almost Great.

Been on the road for a month with this bag. The bag is beautiful, sturdy, and has great grab handles. Only thing is the main opening is a tad too small as adding the included garment bag requires some bending. It’s also slightly more “Tippy” than my old samsonite spinner. Also not sure I’ll continue to use the toilettree dry bag that zips I. As usually that’s the last thing I toss in before leaving and it’s hard to zip it to a full suitcase. But I am very picky in how I pack. If this bag holds up with I’m sure it will I will remain happy with purchase.

My son and I are in the middle of a 10 day trip to Taiwan and we brought this bag and the smaller Travelpro carry on which fit everything we needed with a little room to spare. I was a little concerned about weight as this bag is 8 lbs and the limit for carry on is 22 lbs but we were under by several pounds. Still light enough to get into an overhead bin and it fit just fine. Good investment as our old bag (essentially the same model but a pull roller) is starting to fall apart (it's 15 years old). I certainly hope to get as much life from this as our last one.

Handle is too wide for a backpack.

It's a very nice looking bag. But...for the price, I was surprised that the wheels track as poorly as they do. It's all over the place on a smooth floor and requires a fair amount of work to steer in a straight line. My biggest complaint, though, is the handle trim - is very comfortable, yet it is too wide to accommodate my TUMI backpack. Seems like a crazy design choice.

I purchased the Platinum Elite for my son and daughter-in-law as a gift, and it is so high-quality and just gorgeous. I even got them on sale! I’ve used TravelPro for years, and have been to six continents with them, and they have held up beautifully. I love how easy they are to maneuver, as well as how lightweight they are, and it is really amazing to see how much they hold. I almost wish my luggage wasn’t in such good shape so I could buy the Platinum Elite for myself! My son and DIL are returning home from a trip today (they borrowed my luggage!), and I know they will be thrilled to see their new suitcases awaiting them. I’ll never use any other brand, besides TravelPro!
