I was shopping for a pressure canner, weighing the pros and cons of each option. So very happy that this is what I decided to go with. It allows me to do both pressure canning and water. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Highly recommend This option.

This canner is easy to use. It walks you through the steps to take on the display, and the quickguide/cheat sheet included gives a little more detail and makes it so easy. I love not having to babysit my canner!

I just got my Presto 17-Quart this week. I canned 15 quarts of dry pintos. It was so easy using the new canner. It was hassle free.

This is my first electric canner so I can't compare to previous or competitors' models. I can however compare to my old stove top canner if it's okay to compare apples and oranges. I mean, I can't really compare because the electric is SO much easier to use. No more babysitting and adjusting the heat up and down. I recently got a new, glass top stove so I was really happy to not have to put that big canning kettle on it. It's also great to have the extra burner while I'm preparing veg/fruit and sterilizing jars. It was always a balancing act in the past. When I got the new canner, I didn't even realize I could use it for hot water bath canning also so that was a great, added bonus. I haven't eliminated my other canning kettles yet but I think it won't be long until they are no longer taking up space in my storage room. I'd definitely recommend this canner to others.

I bought this about 3 months ago. I really like being able to walk away from it once the countdown begins. This frees me up to do other things and that alone is well worth the cost.
I usually need to stack the pint jars with the product I am canning....chicken, kidney beans, dog food, etc'''...the cool down period is way way way too long...sometimes more than 2 hours...this may be because of the size of the load I don't know. This causes a huge delay before I can start the second batch, making for a very long day. Would I buy it again if I knew this ahead of time...ummmm...YES...I am actually considering buying a 2nd one, another 17 qt so I can immediately start another batch. That is how I did it before so I don't think buying a 2nd one is out of the question. Watching for a sale.

Works as an extra set of hands

Every busy mom always says they can use an extra set of hands. Well with this presto canner I can set it and forget it. I fell in love with my 12 quart electric canner and kept thinking, "wish there was a bigger one." Now I run both get twice as much done and keep on schedule with daily chores. Only suggestions is can't wait till you make a double stacker 30 plus quart. That would help out with garden harvest time. Still have to pull out the cook top canners for that time of year for their stacking ability. Keep up the great work. Most Sincerely a happy Canning Mom

I can pressure and water bath in the same canner!!!! I’m used to using the old fashioned method and this is so much easier and I don’t have to stand by the stove. Thank you!
