Excellent wireless lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Encode model works well, there are other Schlage smart lock products like the "Connect" model that doesn't"t work well. Don't waste your time purchasing the connect model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn’t sure how much I’d actually use a smart deadbolt when I first installed it; honestly, I never wanted one, but it’s quickly become one of those upgrades that I don’t want to live without.
The installation was surprisingly straightforward. The printed instructions are clear, and I really appreciated that they included QR codes and links to step-by-step videos. Even if you’ve never installed a deadbolt before, the combination of written directions and visual walkthroughs makes the whole process feel very manageable. I had it installed, connected, and ready to use much faster than I expected.
Once it’s set up, the convenience is fantastic. Locking and unlocking the door from the app is incredibly easy, and connecting it to Alexa means I can simply use my voice when my hands are full. At first glance that might sound like a luxury, or maybe even a little lazy, but in practice it’s proven to be genuinely useful.
The biggest benefit for me has been helping out family, friends, and babysitters. Someone always seems to forget their keys or leave the garage door opener in another vehicle. Instead of interrupting whatever I’m doing to rush home, I can simply unlock or lock the door remotely from wherever I am. It’s less about convenience for convenience’s sake and more about solving real-life problems when plans don’t go perfectly.
Aesthetically, the lock also deserves some praise. It has a clean, classic design that doesn’t scream “smart gadget.” It blends in nicely with the rest of the home’s hardware while still offering all of the modern features you’d expect from a connected device.
Overall, this has been one of those smart home purchases that actually makes everyday life easier. It’s easy to install, simple to use, looks great on the door, and offers the kind of flexibility that’s invaluable when life gets hectic. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their home’s security and convenience.

Maintains stable connection to our network. Has worked well with iphones and androids. Our home feels more secure with this deadbolt installed.
