Love these

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love these locks. Have four at our summer home and two at our main house. Perfect for guests and when are hands are full. Also ideal for our cleaner and maintenance people. I know who enters and when.

Great smart lock!

It gives me peace of mind to be able to check it on my phone and in certain situations I’m able to just open it to let someone in. I get notifications every time it’s unlocked and then locked so I can keep an eye on activities and what’s going on in my home. I had a professional locksmith install it but the interface on the app is mostly easy to figure out. I will say the only issue I’ve run in to is when my power goes out the lock will go offline and once everything is back up and running it won’t automatically connect to my WiFi. So I have to go back through syncing it. That’s the only complaint I have and obviously it doesn’t happen very often.

Just the right amount of tech

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love this lock. It was easy to install and we love having app compatibility. The battery is at 91% after three months. We love being able to make temporary codes for guests. It’s easy to understand and the notifications of use are awesome.

Wish I used Schlage from the get go

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had a Yale keypad lock that was not user friendly since you had to be 3 feet in order to add codes for guests plus if the guest wanted to charge their stay you had to delete and readd the entire guest info. Additionally you had zero idea if batteries needed chg, you only knew when it didn't work. Was not helpful at all. Now codes can be set from any location, if guests want a late ck out or early ck in system is so response without having to drive over, and stand 3 feet or less from the device. Wish we had used Schlage from the get go! Mow moving to swap out 2 other Yale locks to Schlages!

I love that I can change my code from my phone. Total ease inconvenience. Schlage is also known for quality. Installation was a breeze. Each lock took only a few minutes to install.

Great but needs style.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Decent product overall. Security seems to be top notch both physical and wifi. Installing it in the door and connecting to my hoke were easy as well. The 4/5 is because of the lack of color and style. I wanted the upgraded version, the encode plus, but they don't make it in gold. Then when I got this one, finding a satin bronze handle was very hard. Needs to be offered in more options for that last star.

Installation was a breeze, and setting up the access codes was just as easy. Everything I needed for the installation was included in the box, and the instructions were straightforward.
Setting up the Schlage app was also very simple. I really like being able to see whether the door is locked or unlocked right from my phone, as well as being able to lock and unlock it through the app. I haven’t yet tested the remote access from farther away from home, but I plan to.
This replaced an older Schlage electronic deadbolt that lasted approximately seven years, so I’ve had good experience with the brand and I’m hoping to get the same—or better—longevity from this one.
So far, I’m very impressed with the Schlage Encode. Installation, programming, and app setup were all easy, and everything is working exactly as expected.
At this point, five stars.
